There was a lot of disappointment about Billy’s not so mangled face considering how it looks in the comics. The writers explained they were going for a less literal interpretation of the “Jigsaw” moniker and focusing on the psychological aspect. We see Billy covering his face a lot with his hands or the mask even though the scars aren’t that bad so it’s more about his internal trauma about what happened to him and less so how it looks to everyone else.
