I won't bore you folks with the mundane research I was doing on Illinois and Chicago's drunk driving laws (for the record, their legal BAC is pretty dang low already but AGAIN, CREATIVE LIBERTIES) so I will just say this volunteer's shirt is a visual pun on MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the predominant anti-drunk driving organization stateside). In my brain here, it's Parents Against Drunk Driving, heh!
To my international readers, I'm so sorry these pages have been visually and narratively very U.S.-context dependent! We'll be easing up on the cultural touchstones soon.
(also, as an aside, that first panel of Denver is probably my favorite Denver of the series so far)

I find activists who do signature collecting work over here have to be really assertive to get folks to stop and give them the time of day, so I don't blame her here! ๐ I was trying to use every tool in my arsenal to make her seem warm and friendly since establishing her back on Page 87, but maybe it wasn't enough ๐
