Friday Art Preview - 12/22/23

Once again, it's Friday! So how about we check out a few pieces of art for Lucas Gentry's upcoming game: FantasyForm.

FantasyForm was teased a little bit ago in our 2024 preview. I also shared some character art here a while back. FantasyForm's art is all wrapping up now and the game is making progress, so I thought it would be a great time to share some illustrations. The one above is one of the handful of items that are available to the player in the game. This one is the Bag of Hiding. You'll be buying and selling powerful Essences and this bag will allow you to hide them. Artist DM3_INKS illustrated all the artwork for FantasyForm. This artist specializes in comic book inspired art which fits FantasyForm's theme perfectly.

Here we have one of the forms. They are powerful elementals. The artist was given some prompts and references to use in their illustrating process, but they are also given a lot of creative freedom. What we love about the forms, this one specifically was that the artist was able to give it life without giving it a face. Does that crystal control the rock? Is the crystal it's source of energy? The forms are meant to be mysterious and I can really see that idea translate into the illustrations.
