Status Update

Hey everyone, it's been a few weeks since we last talked about status updates and I wanted to send this one off for now. Here's everything that's going on and some more thoughts about the future.

APRIL, MAY AND THE HELD DECEMBER PACKAGE
The last parts of December, April and May arrive in the next week or two (except the RPGs are still pending - and may ship on their own when they arrive to not hold up the packages - more on this below). Depending on how everything lands here, we may be shipping these each one after another, or maybe 2-3 in one big package. It all depends on what is fastest.   Going back to that previous post, everything should be on a 2 month turnaround, so June and July should not be considered late until after August and September.

JUNE PACKAGE
This is expected in August as mentioned previously. We're just running on a 2 month turnaround.

JULY PACKAGE
This is expected in September as mentioned previously. We're just running on a 2 month turnaround.

ROLE PLAYING GAMES
I mentioned above that they are still pending. There are two (December and April) and we should have 1 here in about 3 weeks and the second in about 4 or 5. We still need to assemble everything after that, but they are just behind everything else. Once again, if needed, we will hold these and ship separately just to keep everything else moving. The role playing games seem to run behind everything else a bit, as it's partially a different team than the main line. I need to look into this.

THE FUTURE
I revisit this and say the same thing so many times, but typing it out is really helpful. I want to look deeper into the issue of one thing holding up all of the packages. It's the number of individual parts that really amounts to delays, as if any one is delayed it'll freeze things up.

But there are two ways to look at it. 1) Have fewer parts. We've done that with the new reward levels, but those old ones are still lingering. And 2) have more stuff on hand to pull from so that when one is delayed, we pull the other. That just requires us to sign / develop a few more things, and it's harder than it sounds. Mostly because we need to bump it up the priority list, and it's not exactly a priority as it's a backup thing. Definitely a tough one to wrangle.

Anyway, our big big backlog should be over soon. I think we'll have a lot of the parts here in a week or so and I can post an update showing things if you'd like to see that.

Thanks everyone!

Maybe have a transition period where you offer or modify the products offered to catch up and readjust. Im ok with acquiring some games I already have if that helps the team catch up. Perhaps offer coupons or just current stock items for the bgotm to limit bottlenecks for awhile. Coupons for your store or collabs with print n play companies Also, perhaps access to art for making high quality art prints we can hang up. Keep up the good work. Hope you get the major kinks worked out.

Thanks for the update!

I've kept my old limited plan (stupid completionism tendencies...), but I would be happy to change if it made your lives better!

Thanks for the update, and looking forward to the next packages, whenever they arrive!!

Thanks Jason, George, and everybody else who is kicking butt to conquer this mountain of stuff. I can’t imagine how tough it is for you all, but I’m proud of you guys for knocking it all out! Take your time and get some much needed rest in the process yall!

Justin Antezana

Thank you for all your hard work!!!

If I remember correctly from the old kanban boards, delays were frequently attributed to production of postcard elements and various game rules. You might have enough data to do a critical path analysis (CPA) to determine what part of the project process resulted in these tasks causing delays. Regarding the post card line, perhaps it needs to become its own bimonthly line like the RPG line so it doesn't hold up other packages. Regarding the game rules, I prefer already printed rules that arrive with the game rather than having to print my own from a QR code or TinyURL, so hopefully a CPA would help identify the task causing unexpected delays.

The current issue is that the sleeker plan is being held up by the old limited complex plans. For some reason when we look at the April package, we are looking at all levels as one, instead we could be working them as separate entities (old vs new). I think that's an approach that I need to look at, as the newer levels could be moving on their own. It's such a struggle to maintain those old levels.

I was on the grandfathered limited tier with the extra extras but switched to the newer, sleeker plan. It's not much —I'm just one subscriber of many— but I couldn't think of a clearer way to say that I was okay with fewer parts. I'm not worried about the delays. They happen and, as Brett said, I know you're good for it.

I for one have no problems with the delays. I know your will deliver when you can, so I know my money isn't wasted. The not know when or what I'm getting is wonderful! The day I get home and I have a BSG package is always a good day

Brett Bossier

Keep up the great work and thank you for the update

Thank you for the update, I honestly had no idea it was that far behind. I will patiently look forward to getting a new wallet game, whenever that may be. Thanks for all your hard work!
