Here's what's going on

Keeping the Christmas Story within December etc, it ain't working out. I need a break.

And I know I already took a break, but I think what I need is a break break.

I thought I could push through till the end, but in hindsight I misjudged what I needed, and jumping back into it has made things worse. Not as bad as it was, thankfully, but I need this. I don't want to, and it sucks to even make this post, but I do need it. Deciding to start pumping out comics just before Christmas was, as I'm now aware, not great.

I've thought a lot about why I ended up where I am this year, and how to avoid it. Which is great, except I have 2 more comics to finish, and I foolishly thought I could power through like I always have.

Trying to wrap up storylines in time has been a huge part of this year for me, and whatever breaks I have taken has been spent plotting the next one. I've thought of so many ways to do things more efficiently, while still doing things how I always have, because to me it just needs to get done. That's not what you deserve, not what I deserve, and yeah ...

I have a lot of plans for next year, and wrapping up this story is a cakewalk in that context, which is why I'm leaving it to 2024 Nort.

I'm really sorry, but I've had a bad time this month. I'd rather start the year getting back to work than being glad the prior one is over.
