I don't usually comment, but when Honenuki dropped the tower on Iida he had softened it, which is why it looked goopy after it had hardened. He knew it wouldn't do any significant damage. And even if it did break his back, Recovery Girl would have fixed it right away. Let's not forget that All Might, a teacher, broke Deku's back during training in Season 2. And when Deku first used his quirk he exploded the bones in his arm and legs and Recovery Girl came in and fixed them instantly. The teachers know how powerful her quirk is. If things ever got life threatening the teachers would step in, like they did during Deku and Todoroki's match in the sports festival. They know what can and can't be healed. It can be hard to watch sometimes, sure, but a lot of the students quirks can easily kill someone, which is why I think it's important for the kids to learn how to use the upper limits of their power in a safe environment so they don't accidentally kill someone on the job when they become pro heroes. I think a lot of the frustration about Class B in this arc comes from bias. We've followed Class A from the start so we root for them and it's hard to watch them get beat. But they also caused damage. Like you mentioned, Bakugo blasting Tokage point black with a large explosion was also a bit much and could have caused serious damage. But we brush it off because "he's always like that".

2025-02-16 21:07:40 +0000 UTCHad to leave mid-stream, so I missed it live but seeing Bakugo develop so much compared to what he was before is really big. It's nice to see him act more like a true hero, working as a team, trusting your team even and saving everyone. He's really improved, yet he still keeps his personality. He might still be loud and angry, but he understands what he has to do and how to do it. Perfect character development.
