5:57 Easter Egg spotted, Overlord poster, the authors of Tanya ans Overlord are friends so the poster got snuck in as a treat. 9:30 Tanya came down hard on those two corporals because they broke the rules disobeying her orders. 22:00 the badge she got would be like United Kingdom's Victoria Cross the highest military award usually awarded posthumously. Tanya's VA is Aoi Yuki you remember her as Maomao in Apothecary Diaries, she also does crazy quite well since she did Clementine in Overlord. 24:00 Part one of the back story, episode three will explain the religious part as well as her getting the experimental jewel, the Type 95. Episode four brings you back to the current war time continuing after episode one.

Alternate world Nations: Empire "Fatherland" - Germany Commonwealth - UK Fancois Repulblic - France Entente Alliance - Swedon / Norway Russy Federation - Russia Things to note. Mentioned in this episode. Tanya does not like war "War is an unproductive and therefore wicket act." Current era is pre WW1, the empire is ahead technologically (ep1 "It's vast military and industrial power made it virtually synonymous with victory), you'll see the various flying tech for each Nation (Horses, Skis, the single boot for empire) as an example. The Japanese name for this is "The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl" which fits better imo. She's not evil, war is evil (though she's not exactly good either). Looking forward to the rest, I LOVE the sound FX and music of this show. Hopefully more will who know about the series will add non spoiler info, and sometimes history buffs come out and drop related knowledge too.

This is from the exact same scene from the lightnovel, i believe they werent allowed to say out loud that she drugs herself in the anime for obvious reasons. "Without a thought about what's going to come after, i start doping up with one interference formula after the next. Improved reaction time, increased instantaneous strenght. Before my brain registers the shooting pain of forcing open the magic circuits, alleviate it with intracerebral narcotics. Ahhh, im getting pumped. My body's running hot in excitement. wonder if this is how it feels to get high. Now if the worse case happens and the enemy shoots me down, il be able to escape without colapsing from the pain."
