The natural part/parting of the hair on one's head is called Tsumuji in Japanese and poking this part is a bit like booping someone's nose. It's a friendly (a bit cheeky) gesture that suggests easiness and familiarity in a relationship. I think staring at Viktor's crown presented in front of him, Yuri got mesmerised and couldn't help touching it with his finger. Of course Viktor didn't get it, so he thought Yuri noticed thinning of hair on top of his head.

2024-08-29 15:23:06 +0000 UTCa quick summary of how things work, since you seemed to be a bit confused with how quick it went. the GP series is a collection of 6 events that happen worldwide. each event crowns winners, who get points depending on how they place. all 6 events get ranked together, and the top skaters worldwide compete together in the GP final. a skater can only skate in 2 events, and yuri got placed in events 3 and 6 also! in answer to your question: generally speaking it seems to be recognised that most figure skaters retire around 30 ish? a lot of people move to performative skating or coaching afterwards. figure skating is really hard on the body, and the number and severity of injuries along with just stress on the body generally means people retire from competition at 30, but it can happen earlier or later depending on the skater, especially if they work themselves too hard too young as their bones can be more fragile. this is why yurio got banned from doing quads before now, because hes only 15 and quads are super hard on the body and he was working himself too hard and putting himself at risk. skaters have been known to stay on in competition to 45+ though so its not unheard of
