Summer 2025 Housekeeping and Suggestion Box

Hello everyone!

First, i want to thank everyone for your continued support! Thanks to you I'm able to do this.

In case you haven't read the journal I wrote on FA, what you'll read below is the same, with some added features just for Patrons.

Hope everyone has been doing well, given the state of things. Over here things have been going alright. Took a break from my teaching job. Won't go into the details (unless someone wants me to), but it definitely was leaving me very mentally exhausted to do much else, like drawing. Summer break started and requested to not be called back for August. Maybe in January, or until next August, we'll see. But in the meantime, just wanted to share what the upcoming projects will be, now that I have more free time:

1# YCHs
Started planning a couple of YCHs for July, so please stay tuned for those!

2# Regular comms
In between YCHs, I'm considering opening up some commission slots. I'll make a proper announcement once they are going to become available. The prices will stay the same for these slots, before adjusting them slightly, given they haven't changed since 2022.

3# Patreon
With more time on my hands the aim is to make Patreon a bit more active, and I'm thankful for the continued support over here. Couldn't do this without you. As always, pieces are posted one month in advance and of a higher resolution before being made public. The goal now is to have at least 2 full illustrations per month along with the occasional WIP and sketches, which I plan to make more frequent posts about as well.

Last week managed to clear my current queue, but I'm still getting back into the swing of things of being a full-time freelance artist, while de-programming from being a teacher. But once a teacher, always a teacher :)

4# Possible July ideas
Given that on June 26th is Stitch Day, you may have noticed that I ended up indulging and made everything around Stitch this month. The Stitch animation is still ongoing, but I'm not going to be able to finish it on time. I'll aim to have the rough animation done at least.

But after that, I ended coming up a bit dry in the ideas department for what comes next. Earlier today managed to figure out some ideas and would like to hear your opinion:
On July, there are several national holidays and thought about doing some pieces to reflect that. I'll do my best to post them on the actual day.
-Miss Piggy, dressed as the Statue of Liberty from Muppet Vision 3-D in reference to the 4th of July. Also, in remembrance since the attraction just closed. Or, Gloria, same costume, since she appeared as such at the start of Madagascar 3.
-Pepe le Pew, wedged either on the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, for July 14th, also known as Bastille Day.
-And, most possibly, Fin, the orca mascot for the Vancouver Canucks, in reference to July 1st, aka, Canada Day. If you know of any other more Canadian anthro character, I'm all ears.

4# Suggestion Box

I'd like to incorporate you guys into the selection process for future pieces. If you have any particular characters in mind, or any scenario you'd like to see me draw, please leave a comment below. I cannot guarantee I'll draw them all, but I'll come back from time to time to maybe doodle as a warmup or it could end up being turned into a full piece. I just want to hear your ideas!
