Added 2024-11-18 13:10:31 +0000 UTCWhich episode of Star Trek Continues do we watch? UNCUT & EDITED Reaction in December
Comments
I would encourage anyone (who has time) to watch the 3 episodes getting the most votes and ask yourself which of the three Josh and Alex would like the most?

2024-11-25 02:38:17 +0000 UTCI am not going to vote because I haven't watched any of them and when you guys watch them will be the first time I watch it

2024-11-23 14:50:47 +0000 UTCCool Lucas, maybe it will catch up and pass Fairest of Them All & Pilgrim of Eternity. πππ€

2024-11-23 13:40:09 +0000 UTCI'd like to suggest watching Episode 9, What Ships Are For. Even watch the first 10 minutes. Comment back if you feel the same way. (which is fine if you do, just curious)

2024-11-23 00:46:02 +0000 UTCI originally voted for Fairest of them all. After reading these comments, i rewatched What ships are for and I now changed my vote to that. A far better episode.

2024-11-22 21:26:46 +0000 UTCIt is too bad Chuck! βΉπ

2024-11-19 23:01:33 +0000 UTCThey don't know that, but the audience should.....and should vote for "What Ships are For"!!!!
HuskerChuck
2024-11-19 15:08:08 +0000 UTCI'm a bit surprised at the results so far, Fairest of Them All 45% & What Ships Are For at only 17%......the one that has a favorite Character of theirs from all Trek! π€π

2024-11-19 14:47:58 +0000 UTCIβve only seen brief clips of this and was crying with laughter for the wrong reasons. I admit, back in the 90s I was in a stage play / parody as Riker at a convention, so I may be a hypocrite but Iβm not so keen on fan productions. I recently found my Riker costume in the loft, my mum made it from fake velvet curtains. I was giving everyone static shocks it was like a weird superpower.

2024-11-19 14:18:49 +0000 UTCAbsolutely none, don't fall for this unoriginal clown show.

2024-11-19 11:54:39 +0000 UTCBurn two! LOL It takes about 2 episodes to adjust to the new actors. Also, please note the actor for Dr. McCoy was unavailable for the first 2 episodes. Chuck Huber does a much better job in episodes 3-11.

2024-11-19 04:18:29 +0000 UTCI wish that were the case, but I don't have my hopes up. They are still fresh Trekkies, and different actors playing treasured roles will be jarring for them. It takes probably about 2 episodes for that to go away, but one is probably all they will do. (Still, very happy they are doing even one--even if they crap all over it LOL)

2024-11-19 04:16:08 +0000 UTCI totally agree with you. If they are only going to watch one, "What Ships are For" is likely the one they would enjoy the most, and it is mostly a self-contained story. The storylines are TOS quality throughout the series, and the attention to detail is amazing.

2024-11-19 04:13:21 +0000 UTCI figured Fairest was going to win. It's the biggest of the nostalgia episodes. I think it's a mistake. What Ships Are For would have made a good TOS (or even TAS) episode and doesn't try to connect to anything else. To Boldly Go may be the best, but it's a two parter. Ideally, ST:C should only be watched at least twenty years or so after you've finished everything with the TOS crew and watched them all three or four times. I seriously doubt you'll enjoy it as much as those of us who grew up with the original series. However, it is made by people who not only have actual talent, but love the show and that comes through.

2024-11-19 03:38:04 +0000 UTCSTC is super solid. Another great fan production was the "Of Gods and Men" movie.

2024-11-18 22:36:37 +0000 UTCNo worries. After your first episode of Star Trek Continues, I bet you'll be itching to run through the entire show without us even asking :D

2024-11-18 20:27:30 +0000 UTCBeen a while man. How have you been?

2024-11-18 19:59:37 +0000 UTCI saw Grant Imahara (rip) as Sulu the one time I watched. That was cool

2024-11-18 18:57:30 +0000 UTCIβll try it again maybe I gotta burn one to get into it lol

2024-11-18 17:04:16 +0000 UTCTo clarify, we are watching 1 episode. If youβre voting for part 1 with the hopes we watch part 2, please do not get angry when we do not watch part 2.

2024-11-18 16:46:08 +0000 UTCYeah the first episode wasnβt impressive to me. I think I took in with the second or third.

2024-11-18 16:29:52 +0000 UTCI'd just say watch it from the start, but I suppose if you have to pick ONE "Fairest of them all" would be a great one to start one.
Steven Johnson
2024-11-18 16:04:24 +0000 UTCNot actually heard of ST:C until this channel, and I thought I was a long time ST fan. I was *again* surprised to see it was a Vic Mignogna project from before the man was radioactive and expelled from any and all film/tv/gaming.
Kenneth Elder
2024-11-18 15:20:05 +0000 UTCFairest of Them All would be my second choice after the two part finale.

2024-11-18 14:35:07 +0000 UTCI found it super cheesy and hard to watch . I will continue my trek journey without them lol cheers
Steve the greeeen hand
2024-11-18 14:30:46 +0000 UTCStar Trek Continues is essentially a love letter to Star Trek (TOS). 11 episodes of the original series picking up where TOS ended and filling in the gap in time to the first movie. Professionals in all aspects of TV production volunteered their time to produce these episodes.
HuskerChuck
2024-11-18 14:29:53 +0000 UTCWith the guest star appearances, "What Ships Are For" is the best single episode for the boys to watch. There will be a huge pop. They are likely not going to watch part 2, so "To Boldly Go" is not a great option for this, although it is a fantastic finale.

2024-11-18 14:27:21 +0000 UTCAgreed! Make sure you vote above!

2024-11-18 14:11:39 +0000 UTCIt does have a few elements that if properly developed, could have been great!

2024-11-18 14:11:12 +0000 UTCFairest of them all. The sequel to Mirror Mirror ππ

2024-11-18 13:27:53 +0000 UTCIt takes some getting used to and there are some spotty performances, but there is some definite skill at work here, in particular recreating the look and feel of the original series. I'm recommending To Boldly Go part one, which is kind of a cheat because you may or may not want to watch part 2 after that -- but the last two are definitely the best of the series.

2024-11-18 13:20:30 +0000 UTCOk I watched thirty seconds of the pilgrim one .. hard hard hard no lol
