POLL: Star Trek Continues

Which episode of Star Trek Continues do we watch? UNCUT & EDITED Reaction in December

Comments

I would encourage anyone (who has time) to watch the 3 episodes getting the most votes and ask yourself which of the three Josh and Alex would like the most?

HuskerChuck

I am not going to vote because I haven't watched any of them and when you guys watch them will be the first time I watch it

harrypothead42024

Cool Lucas, maybe it will catch up and pass Fairest of Them All & Pilgrim of Eternity. πŸ––πŸ˜‰πŸ€ž

Duane Chancey

I'd like to suggest watching Episode 9, What Ships Are For. Even watch the first 10 minutes. Comment back if you feel the same way. (which is fine if you do, just curious)

HuskerChuck

I originally voted for Fairest of them all. After reading these comments, i rewatched What ships are for and I now changed my vote to that. A far better episode.

Lucas Kane

It is too bad Chuck! β˜ΉπŸ––

Duane Chancey

They don't know that, but the audience should.....and should vote for "What Ships are For"!!!!

HuskerChuck

I'm a bit surprised at the results so far, Fairest of Them All 45% & What Ships Are For at only 17%......the one that has a favorite Character of theirs from all Trek! πŸ€”πŸ––

Duane Chancey

I’ve only seen brief clips of this and was crying with laughter for the wrong reasons. I admit, back in the 90s I was in a stage play / parody as Riker at a convention, so I may be a hypocrite but I’m not so keen on fan productions. I recently found my Riker costume in the loft, my mum made it from fake velvet curtains. I was giving everyone static shocks it was like a weird superpower.

Paul Rymer

Absolutely none, don't fall for this unoriginal clown show.

Aaron Holden

Burn two! LOL It takes about 2 episodes to adjust to the new actors. Also, please note the actor for Dr. McCoy was unavailable for the first 2 episodes. Chuck Huber does a much better job in episodes 3-11.

HuskerChuck

I wish that were the case, but I don't have my hopes up. They are still fresh Trekkies, and different actors playing treasured roles will be jarring for them. It takes probably about 2 episodes for that to go away, but one is probably all they will do. (Still, very happy they are doing even one--even if they crap all over it LOL)

HuskerChuck

I totally agree with you. If they are only going to watch one, "What Ships are For" is likely the one they would enjoy the most, and it is mostly a self-contained story. The storylines are TOS quality throughout the series, and the attention to detail is amazing.

HuskerChuck

I figured Fairest was going to win. It's the biggest of the nostalgia episodes. I think it's a mistake. What Ships Are For would have made a good TOS (or even TAS) episode and doesn't try to connect to anything else. To Boldly Go may be the best, but it's a two parter. Ideally, ST:C should only be watched at least twenty years or so after you've finished everything with the TOS crew and watched them all three or four times. I seriously doubt you'll enjoy it as much as those of us who grew up with the original series. However, it is made by people who not only have actual talent, but love the show and that comes through.

Nerd's Gold

STC is super solid. Another great fan production was the "Of Gods and Men" movie.

Anthony MacEwan

No worries. After your first episode of Star Trek Continues, I bet you'll be itching to run through the entire show without us even asking :D

dkenobi

Been a while man. How have you been?

Timothy Nikiforovs

I saw Grant Imahara (rip) as Sulu the one time I watched. That was cool

Phil Ken Sebben

I’ll try it again maybe I gotta burn one to get into it lol

Steve the greeeen hand

To clarify, we are watching 1 episode. If you’re voting for part 1 with the hopes we watch part 2, please do not get angry when we do not watch part 2.

Josh (Target Audience)

Yeah the first episode wasn’t impressive to me. I think I took in with the second or third.

TalynStarburst

Same here.. I didn’t know about it until this channel

TalynStarburst

I'd just say watch it from the start, but I suppose if you have to pick ONE "Fairest of them all" would be a great one to start one.

Steven Johnson

Not actually heard of ST:C until this channel, and I thought I was a long time ST fan. I was *again* surprised to see it was a Vic Mignogna project from before the man was radioactive and expelled from any and all film/tv/gaming.

Kenneth Elder

Fairest of Them All would be my second choice after the two part finale.

David Wayne Fox

I found it super cheesy and hard to watch . I will continue my trek journey without them lol cheers

Steve the greeeen hand

Star Trek Continues is essentially a love letter to Star Trek (TOS). 11 episodes of the original series picking up where TOS ended and filling in the gap in time to the first movie. Professionals in all aspects of TV production volunteered their time to produce these episodes.

HuskerChuck

With the guest star appearances, "What Ships Are For" is the best single episode for the boys to watch. There will be a huge pop. They are likely not going to watch part 2, so "To Boldly Go" is not a great option for this, although it is a fantastic finale.

HuskerChuck

Agreed! Make sure you vote above!

Dale Gonyea

It does have a few elements that if properly developed, could have been great!

Dale Gonyea

Fairest of them all. The sequel to Mirror Mirror πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

Jon1701

lol I can’t I was super intrigued though .

Steve the greeeen hand

Haha

Josh (Target Audience)

It takes some getting used to and there are some spotty performances, but there is some definite skill at work here, in particular recreating the look and feel of the original series. I'm recommending To Boldly Go part one, which is kind of a cheat because you may or may not want to watch part 2 after that -- but the last two are definitely the best of the series.

David Wayne Fox

Ok I watched thirty seconds of the pilgrim one .. hard hard hard no lol

Steve the greeeen hand

I can’t lie I have no idea what Star Trek continues is … I just ran to YouTube to check it out . Still confused as to where from?
