This is an enjoyable episode but I gave it a B because as you observed, the Vulcan ambassador was obviously a Romulan. The dance sequence was played mostly for laughs and that's fine but again, to your point, why would you start teaching tap to someone who just asked to learn to dance? Cleary the sequence was designed to showcase Gates McFadden's very fine dance skills. To me, that should never be a reason to override the story telling. But don't get me wrong, a very fine episode, not just an A or S for me.

2024-10-10 04:09:45 +0000 UTCHmm, it looks like Alan Scarfe, the actor who played the Romulan Mendak, just died this year. I guess his wife who passed away in 2019 also makes an appearance as a Klingon this season.
