2024-10-08 03:51:26 +0000 UTCAh yes, the start of the "Colm Meaney can f#(%ing act" phase of Star Trek.

2024-10-04 14:01:15 +0000 UTCIt’s a mild spoiler the way I see it but a spoiler nonetheless…

2024-10-03 12:53:04 +0000 UTCI disagree to the severity, but I appreciate that perspective and thank you for laying it out for me.

2024-10-03 12:52:13 +0000 UTCIt's actually a big spoiler. At this particular point in the franchise, most things were created as one-offs and not expected to come back, and even when they do, its rarely planned that way. You see how excited they can get when there's any sort of continuity as it's so rare so we don't wanna ruin the surprise. We are about three and a half seasons into TNG at this point and met many, many alien races that haven't come back. You can't approach it as a 60 year old franchise when people are watching it for the first time.

2024-10-03 12:44:24 +0000 UTCIf the implication that a species appears more than once in a 60 year old franchise is a spoiler, then that’s a rediculous criteria for a spoiler then they shouldn’t even have comments enabled on YouTube and I sincerely doubt that is their view. They can toss me out an airlock if it is. “I like Key’lar’s second appearance more than the first!” Is a spoiler during “The Emissary”. People name dropping O’brien in Encounter at Farpoint when he was just “CONN” in dialog really isn’t.

2024-10-03 10:44:58 +0000 UTC"first appearance" is literally a story spoiler because it teases further appearances...

2024-10-03 02:27:17 +0000 UTCWhat? I just noticed they have different makeup and costume this one time because I haven't seen it in a decade. How is that showing off or spoiling literally any thing? These guys are concerned about story spoilers, not the most superficial things. Touch holographic grass my dude.

2024-10-02 23:48:44 +0000 UTC@EnigmaticPenguin Stop it. Just stop trying to show how smart you are and shut up. I watched in order. Let these guys have the same thing. STOP.

2024-10-02 17:22:18 +0000 UTCFor me, the big question- Was the thing with the Cardassian suordinate looking at the control panel legitimate or was it a work to get Picard to trust Macet more?

2024-10-02 09:50:36 +0000 UTCNote: Marc Alaimo, the actor who plays Gul Macet, last appeared as the Romulan commander who confronted the Enterprise at the end of season 1 when they were both investigating what they didn't know at the time were Borg incursions along the neutral zone. Great character actor and in general the three actors who played Cardassians really sold the Cardassians as a race- not like the Romulans, people who will appear all smiles then stab a knife in your throat.

2024-10-02 09:49:53 +0000 UTCBeen waiting to see how you guys respond to Chief O’Brian’s enlarged role in S4. Can’t wait for the full edit on this one!

2024-10-02 07:22:31 +0000 UTCWhy do you have to mention that? People watching it for the first time don't need to know any of that...

2024-10-02 05:53:47 +0000 UTCThanks for this. A great reaction to a great episide.

2024-10-02 04:52:18 +0000 UTCAs much as I kind of wanted to see a Captain Riker / First Officer Shelby version of this show after the Best of Both Worlds, you just can't ignore the gravitas and pure acting skill Patrick Stewart brings to the table, episode after episode. Is he the greatest actor who has ever starred in a Star Trek series (and I've seen them all)? Probably.

2024-10-02 02:42:27 +0000 UTCI always forget the Cardasians have that weird helmet and skin colour in their first appearance. The birth of another classic Star Trek species.
