Audience Cut Commentary - Session 9 (2001)

Comments

Other horrible/great indie horror recommendations like Session 9: Dead Girl (2008), Teeth (2007), and Contracted (2013). I don't know why but cir. 2010 was a great time for strange horror movies that mess with your head. edit: I removed the original posts in error then reposted, if you're curious of why it popped up again. Sorry!

I remember this movie well, back in 2014 or 2015 when it was released on Netflix when Netflix had the balls to show weird indie stuff like this. It's so off-putting and immersive. I tried to describe it to my wife and couldn't. It has the darkest ending I can think of with any movie I've ever seen. The audio of boiling water, (you know what I mean). It hurt me hearing it when I saw the movie. Now , today, I now have little kid, and it hurts so much more just thinking about it. Makes me want to pull his head off, it makes me so angry. I'll watch this with you guys again but I might have to wait a month when I can recover (lol). A great choice, man. Like MrDeadstu said: Never talked about enough.

We talk about it in the commentary, but we will probably do more eventually

Josh (Target Audience)

Good movie, not talked about enough. Too many people addicted to jump scares these days. I prefer a superior atmosphere and proper tension building like Halloween or The Thing from John Carpenter for example. Is this gonna be a thing now, or a one off?
