I'm soooo tempted to spend the time photoshopping that.

Jovet

And he didn't think it's something to throw up in the air and shoot at??

Jovet

There is a Cpt. Picard song that's been kicking around for 20 years or so. But it's full of spoilers till you get through the series and the first couple movies. At least till you get through the series if it's just the audio version.

Timothy Nikiforovs

😮‍💨

Josh (Target Audience)

"Ahhh, Dixon Hill & The Starfleet Mafia... a classic. Sure, why not? It can't be worse than what's out now, right?"

Billy T. Riker

I'd tell them not to worry, we already own it😂

Katie Jackson

Answer with the only logical response - "Make it so."

Nerd's Gold

(Don't forget MY show, gorrammit!!) :D

MertzRocks

L... O... L... !

MertzRocks

Worry that they're getting into gangster sci-fi. These Trek vs BSG feuds so often result in real world violence 😱

James Bottas

A good companion piece to Brent Spiner’s album, “Ol’ Yellow Eyes is Back.” Featured background vocals by The Sunspots (Stewart, Frakes, Burton, and Dorn).

Frank Tagader

I'd also want to include the initial Ben Folds/William Shatner collaboration on two songs on Fear of Pop's Volume 1, "In Love" and "Still in Love". When I think of great Shatner songs in the vein of Has Been, I actually think of "In Love" first. Shatner also appeared on the alternate version of Folds' "Rockin' the Suburbs" for "Over the Hedge". Which was at least kinda fun.

Joseph Spiros

Nice! I bought my daughter the new Taylor Swift CD and she asked me how to play it... 😆 we have a Xbox Series X in the living room (which works great with the soundbar) + bluray players work too in a pinch. Have a pretty good vinyl collection myself, mostly newer remasters & reissues but those OG albums probably have some great stuff 🎸 sounds pretty good too I'll bet! ✌️ 🖖

Billy T. Riker

Damn, they left the best song off the album. That being the classic song where just three words are repeated for nine minutes straight. "Shut up, Wesley."

Dan J Reid

I would say pop music is fine, but try listening to some classical Vulcan lute music too.

Wynstone

I don't have children, so this is theoretical. I'd buy it for them, but none of our computers have a cd drive any more, so they could only listen to it on the enormous music media station that dominates one corner of my living room. (It's got a tape player, a CD player that holds five cds, and an honest to god turntable, plus several hundred vinyl albums courtesy of my Dad.) At least this way I can listen to it too.

John

LMFAO!!!!! Oh my GOD!! I LOLed so hard!!

StonyD

Knowing my daughters, easy: We set the player on repeat, throw banana-clips over our eyes, and shake the whole neighborhood with a BLOCK PARTEEEEEEEE!!! {head-thrashing begins}

StonyD

“OF” course!

Josh (Target Audience)

I play it cool, hide the pride I have for them and nonchalantly turn around to hide the tears of joy I have for my child in that moment.

Burrito Vampire

somebody has to work at the strip club

Prof Moff

“Years later, when Prof Moff’s kid turned 18, he left home and never returned” “I gave that ungrateful kid an amazing childhood!” Prof Moff still claims to this day

Josh (Target Audience)

Have you heard Star Trekkin’ by The Firm? Or Starship Eidelweiss by Eidelweiss? Look then up on YouTube - no spoilers both parody TOS. The latter CD single actually has an epic techno rendition of the Star Trek theme which got played a lot at convention parties in the 90s.

Paul Rymer

"In this house, we listen to REAL music! Star Wars Cantina Band Jizz!"

Brendon Waldron

Released on CD only 😔

Josh (Target Audience)

I say "Hell no, but you can have this" and I buy them a copy of William Shatner's "Has Been." It's an elegant, full album. Bill really came into his own, artistically and commercially.

Steven Johnson

Get it on Vinyl you heathen

AzoriusMage

Tell the kid to go get a job you snowflake. I think the coal mines are hiring

Prof Moff

The solo is X-rated either way, because it goes so HARD 😎

Josh (Target Audience)

@Target Audience That one definitely needs an apostrophe: 'bone solo. Without it, it's X-rated.

Jovet

He found it at a garage sale

Josh (Target Audience)

Make sure to blare “Engage” during your fight 🗣️

Josh (Target Audience)

I ask him, "Who told you what a 'CD' even is??"

Jovet

In those ancient times, they actually did this by burning the information directly onto the artifact….i think they stopped burning information this way because of carbon pollution or something 😜

Derek Orr

Did he try opening his banking app and looking at his account? That may help.

Josh (Target Audience)

Massive W

Josh (Target Audience)

You dropped this 👑

Josh (Target Audience)

Bust out the anbo-jytsu gear and give them an sound ass-kicking 👊

Matthew

So, back in the day before Al Gore invented the Internet, they would put music onto a fragile disk that easily scratched and held up extremely poorly. Obviously as you can guess it was quite frustrating. Then there was this guy Sean Parker…

Josh (Target Audience)

Don't only rejoice in their choice of entertainment, but the fact that they desire physical media!

David Wayne Fox

What is this... "CD"... you speak of?

Darin Wagner

I buy two copies, one for them and one for me

Guillaume Bergeron

Buy it for them... Heck no I'm buying it for me...😏

Dru Blood

The answer is, of course, yes. Spiner and Frakes and a few of the others made silly fans CDs over the years. There's one with a name something like "Old Yellow Eyes" iirc. Every family needs some Trek

SageGreenGoat

For the record, the "Shut Up Wesley" thing is overdone and it made Wil Wheaton feel really bad for a lot of years, so we can probably move past it.

SageGreenGoat

The rumors about Picard’s last verse on that track 👀

Josh (Target Audience)

Can’t shield your kid forever

Josh (Target Audience)

Your kid = 🤯

Josh (Target Audience)

Tell them that CDs were mythical things their grandparents believed in.

Michael Schwarz

No son no, we need to wait for the deluxe version with the special “Shut-Up Wesley” track

Gregory

I’d wonder how the heck did they get into the Icelandic folk music scene

Matthew Riley

There some tracks featuring Guinan, so it'll probably be okay. When she's involved the rest of us can probably just chill and assume it's safe.

SageGreenGoat

Rub your hands together smugly as you reveal to them your treasured copy of "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" sung by Leonard Nimoy. "Son, do you want to hear real music?"

Ken Rubotham

The Wesley ad-libs during the song’s bridge 😳

Josh (Target Audience)

I don’t have kids, but still answer this question with a hell yes 🔥

Josh (Target Audience)

They’ll agree, but then start blasting their Panasonic stereo as soon as you get home

Josh (Target Audience)

Riker’s ‘bone solo on Blown Out 🔥🎺

Josh (Target Audience)

“Get that kid off my bridge” … great song! Lol

mike

It's a trick question-- some of us don't have kids and never will.

SageGreenGoat

Say yes

Retro Tom

I'd buy it for him on the condition that they wear headphones LOL

Jason Mitchell

I prefer the single "Sucked Out (Featuring Will-Dog Riker)," with "Blown Out" on the B-side.

lee

Congratulate them on their good taste :)

Matthew McKinnon-Gray

Hug them tightly and cry knowing you are a great parent!
