UPDATE on Patreon Stream Goal!

Happy to announce we CRUSHED our goal during last night’s stream of 20 new annual Patreon members! Thank you all for the support and joining the stream last night! It was a blast! Since we reached the goal, we will be reacting to Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries for Patreon & YouTube! We will film this later this month and it will be posted to YouTube between season 2 & 3 of Star Trek TNG! Thanks again!

Comments

When is the BSG mini series going to drop?

Professor00

How many patrons would it take to make you watch Galactica 1980? 🥸

James H

Oh. I guess just a generdl warning, though by this point you know about avoiding spoilers, but due to the nature of the show, do NOT look up any characters or even actors from this show. Even that'll drop massive spoilers on you. And since I've been a bit of a dick by not saying it thus far, let me try and fix that by saying congrats on all the new members guys.

Nolan

Be aware that producer Ron Moore repeatedly stated that BSG 2003 is NOT a remake, but a REIMAGINING. Meaning "it's mine now and I can do what I want." Which he did, and I thought it was brilliant.

Jeff

Either we love it or we get ripped apart in the comments… the choice is ours

Josh (Target Audience)

No

Josh (Target Audience)

I frakkin' agree with you buddy. I love that goddamn show almost as much as Star Trek.

Clyde Frog

Prediction: you will love it.

Aramis Calcutt

Will this delay the start of TNG S03?

Regan

BSG, the first three seasons at least, is up there with all the major shows from the Peak TV era.

Ken R

you should have said that you will be watching in release order so BSG will be done right after season 3 of Star Trek Enterprise since that was when it released ( I think or close to that). Then just did it and release it. It would have been funny to see the roasting you would have gotten, then the love....

Prof Moff

😆

James Bottas

You guys Beverly Crushed it, for sure

James Bottas

The sound coming from your speakers is actually incredibly helpful in syncing, especially for those watching at a different frame rate... I hope you don't lower that volume too much lol

James Bottas

Excited to see people who are familiar with the Original series checking it out. You'll get all the little references they sneak in.

EnigmaticPenguin

You know, I never realized it before, but it might be why a lot of reactors do wear headphones. And it's not really a complaint - I know you make this as enjoyable for our viewers as you can - so please do not take it personally. You are doing stuff I wouldn't know how to do in a thousand years, so please take my criticisms as someone who doesn't know anything about how to even start doing something like this. You guys are awesome, and you've both become two friends I really like hanging out with....virtually.

wildhunt1973

I’ll try editing the sound out more. It’s tough when the tv we are watching is 2 ft away. Not enough space!

Josh (Target Audience)

My first attempt was Shades of Gray last night, which was not off by that much. Then I tried The Emissary and Peak Performance and it took me so long to get them close enough that I could watch without my ears driving me crazy. But it is what it is.

wildhunt1973

Yeah, like I said, usually when that happens, I just try to pause the one that's ahead for what I hope is the correct interval not sure which reactions you've been watching, but the recent ones have audible and visual sync points where the footage is unblurred and the audio is raised from a quieter background near mute just for us to resync if we need to.

Nolan

Congratulations fellers!! Extremely happy for you. As always, I’m here for the T & A. The “target” and the “audience”, of course. 😂 And you have succeeded in targeting this audience member with the BSG 2003 miniseries. I’ll say it now - loud and proud - the greatest scifi show ever (after TOS/TNG/DS9) is Ron Moore’s BSG. You will soooooo love it. #SoSayWeAll!

Shatner's Cigarette

Oh yeah. Like I know ideally you'd watch them as they released, but because you are doing the reactions, it's unrealistic for me to expect you guys to wait YEARS to capitalize on something that's popular. The only way for you guys to view shows the EXACT way I do, is to live my life and, well that's just a cruel thing to wish on someone. 😅

Nolan

Congrats, definitely looking forward to this!

Guillaume Bergeron

That's awesome! I'm very happy for you guys. I knew you had nailed it :)

Jack Shipley

Never had any doubt. Congratulations 🥳

Darren Chapman

That’s fair. Unfortunate part of being a reaction channel I guess. Can’t hold off on everything even outside of Trek

Josh (Target Audience)

I mean, the difference does not affect their comments, which is what I'm really here for. I just wish there was a way they could cut the sound we're hearing in the background so I don't hear the echo and want to try to fix it. A 0.5 second delay in the comments is nothing. But it's massive when you hear a voice from the show say the same thing twice. But as I said, I'll force myself to get used to it. I want to support these guys and their journey.

wildhunt1973

Congrats guys! You will like BSG! Wife and I just binge watched the entire series a year ago, neither one of us had watched it before. Is an excellent show! Looking forward to your reaction!

Monty Crawford

No that’s a totally valid opinion. They probably should wait until mid Enterprise if we are going airdate order. I get it, and I’m looking forward to the reaction but there is a strong argument that BSG is better than at least one, probably two ST series and at least on par with the three other shows at the point in time it was released.

Jon1701

Qapla’!

Dr What

It's the, "pause for when the blurred image moves as my episode moves" game for me. That and trying to figure out which one is ahead, versus which one to pause.

Nolan

BSG 2003!!!!!!!! Glad you guys got your goal crushed. I'm enjoying the new $5 tier, other than never getting the watch-sync perfect. I'm always hearing an echo, but I'm sure i'll get used to it eventually. Just drives my OCD a little crazy. Can't wait for you to start season 3!!!!!!

wildhunt1973

I'm so excited for this! Thanks for the live stream, I was a great success!

Gary Leyh

Awesome! You have targeted my audience. Love some BSG

StonyD

Congratulations, gentlemen.

Jacob

I must be weird, cause a part of me kinda wanted you to hold off on this till at least sometimes around Voyager. I would argue 2003 BSG is Ronald D. Moore's Magnum Opus, a response to where he felt Star Trek had gone by the early 2000's and you guys haven't even gotten to his first ever produced script yet, which is early in Season 3 of TNG. I guess I'm just worried about the writer's personal LOooooRE. =P ETA: I mean, I'll still watch it. And you guys needed a goal for the stream, and BSG is a hot reaction show right now, so I get it. Just my personal preference niggling in the back of my brain woulda been to wait. Ah well.

Nolan

I wasn’t able to get on the stream, but just wanted to say congratulations! I found you guys by accident almost a year ago. Star Trek is my jam, and I love watching your reactions for the first time! I know I’ve said this before, but I’m stoked for you guys to see whats coming!

Chris S.

Sweet! You guys deserve it!

Tara S

Good!! BSG is worth it. Stream was very fun, would love to participate in another.

Connor Fallon

Nice! So I guess that means there interest in watching the whole BSG series.... 😜

Ricky

Great! That's awesome! I wish I could have hung around more for the full live stream last night. Btw, is that Beverly Crushed or Wesley Crushed?
