I have enjoyed watching classic TV and movies that I have enjoyed for decades and seeing your reactions to them (Star Trek TOS, old sci fi movies), as well as revisiting series that I have not watched in many years (BSG). As someone born at the very tail-end of the baby-boom, I think hearing and seeing your reactions gives me insight into what another generation thinks and feels about stuff that I have watched and loved (or not loved). I realize not everything you watch is going to interest me enough to want to watch everything you are watching, and I am fine with that. I think your pilots month break was a good idea - not only did it add variety but also provided new stuff for potential future watch-alongs.

2023-02-23 19:54:41 +0000 UTCI am in my late 50s but know a ton of millennials through various nerd habits, and almost to the last each one is a newb to anything that was around from before they were born. This is an unfortunate byproduct of the internet and cord cutting because before this every generation had the same limited channels, and so every generation was familiar with everything from Boris Karloff to the newest tv show whereas streaming hasbeen notoriously bad for classics. I actually had a friend tell me they watched the Edith Keeler episode and it was "almost like real Trek". So I can't join your conversation but I enjoy listening to you and it has given me an excuse to watch along with you. Most of the other stuff you've watched holds little interest for me, but if you ever get around to Spartacus and the BSG remake I'm all in.

2023-02-22 09:10:50 +0000 UTCI like to hear other people's views on movies. They often catch things I don't, you do this quite well. It helps you are reviewing things I like. You also convince me to watch things I would never watch on my own, like Barry and...... BUFFY! You have also made me revisit some things from childhood which has been surprisingly fun, i.e. Battlestar Galactica. Personally, I would like you to review a larger variety of movie genres but I really like SciFi so it's all good. Since Firefly I've been trying to come up with a western that has a similar feel, but with no luck. Firefly may be a unique sub-genre of its own.
