POLL - 90-Minute Classic REVOTE
Added 2023-02-15 15:25:15 +0000 UTCSo we tried watching the winner of our last poll Dr. Strangelove last night, and to be completely transparent with you, we did not finish it. We got an hour in and we decided it wasn't for us, and more importantly it wasn't producing a watch along that we would be happy with using. Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to it, we did try, but we do not want to put out content that we feel isn't good, just for the sake of putting out content.
With that being said, we are running the poll again with the other 3 options that were in the poll previously. We will still try to get it recorded and posted in February, but it may end up being early March.

I think Doctor Strangelove resonates best with those of us who lived through the Cuban Missile Crisis and grew up with atom bomb shelters in our school and the threat of nuclear attack by Russia every day. When I was in third grade I truly believed we would be in a nucular holocaust. I remember asking my mother what good would duck and cover do since we were all going to die from radiation poisoning anyway.

2023-02-17 15:58:51 +0000 UTCI hope The Omega Man wins. I'd love to see your reactions to it. In my opinion it's the best movie adaptation of Richard Matheson's novel "I am Legend." Matheson also contributed a number of stories to the Original Twilight Zone as well as the script of the star trek episode "The Enemy Within."

I appreciate the humor, I appreciate Peter Sellers and I thought his performance was amazing and funny but I don’t know. I don’t know what it was about that movie that I just it didn’t stick to me. What do you guys think?

2023-02-15 15:56:29 +0000 UTCI'd like to hear WHAT made it unwatchable. I had to watch it in film school and it's truly dry humor and sublimely witty dialogue. You guys watch Star Trek and can't find value in that film; surprising. It's not my fave film but I figured if you guys were ever going to pass on something it'd be a truly divisive film. I'm not shaming here btw. Just surprised. Plus now if you ever watch MARS ATTACKS you won't have a good callback to reference. 😉
