Corporate Development Memo (12/22/2024)

I'm working really hard, so going to keep this short and sweet.
I've gotten testing feedback from everyone but one last person, and I am basically always wanting to add more and tweak, but it's time to release the Test Version soon.
I just want to add music to all the render/dialogue corrections I have made, and then I'm releasing it. I want to be clear a few things are not content complete when it comes out:
1 sub scene the end, and 2 dom scenes. No outro. No intro slide yet. (I have lost a lot of the masks I used from my old computer crash but am going to try and figure out something)
I will see if I have time to add animations after music, but I am going to release it at a set date and if it's not quite ready -- I will add them for the Final Version. I should be able to get in a draft of music (I typically have to tweak the music a bit after Test to Final after getting a bit of feedback) before the deadline as I am starting this today with a full two days to try and get it done. I will do that while trying to test a bit more, etc.
I usually have an outro that will also come for Final and not Test. Please remember the Test Version is just that -- a test version designed to get more feedback and allow me to make final tweaks for a later version. But generally it's 95+ percent content complete like every prior update so it should be a lot of fun I hope!
So here is the bottom line hard deadline I have set for myself to try and release the Test Version on here.
December 24th - approximately 10am-1pm Hawaii Standard Time or UTC time 8pm-11pm.
It's really important to me to try and get a version out before Christmas (for those that celebrate it, have a great holiday!) so players can enjoy it with some time off if desired! It also helps me feel better to relax on Christmas with family and friends knowing I got it out to players. :)
I have not formally counted the renders, but it's probably now about 4700+ renders. It is probably the longest sub path update I've ever done for the game. As I have said a few times now, expect a few things for Part 3.
1) A longer dom path as I will do a bit more there and start first on that path as well. The dom path is a bit shorter than the sub path in Part 2 -- expect a balance a bit in the other direction for Part 3. (I tend to do a bit extra on the path I start first and for Part 2 I did mostly sub first)
2) A shorter update window (2000 renders) as being honest, juggling all this was kind of a bit much and I think it's likely easier to manage something a tad bit smaller. More on this later as I get past Part 2 and into Part 3.
3) The content for Part 3 could be more "serious" as the stakes get higher but it doesn't have to go that way either necessarily. I try and drive choice as much as possible to customize content a bit to desires. (you can't do this 100 percent of course but it's just a good faith attempt to do it)

I want to thank everyone for their patience and support. I really feel the issue of my updates being a long wait (I've been there for a few games too!) but at the same time, I feel like I'm never being a lazy/dishonest/immoral dev either. Of course I've had bad days/weeks at some point, but overall -- I feel like I'm trying hard for everyone in good faith. For my work ethic and sense of honor, I've always said Kiyomi is really me in this specific context. (definitely not in other ways, hehe) Value your fans/patrons and ensure you always communicate with transparency. I'm still very proud that every single week without fail I'm still posting what's happening -- good or bad.

I will have more details on the Test Version to Final Version process once this version is out and I can see how much I have to tweak/fix!
Enjoy the holiday season and into a great 2025! Please tell anyone important in your life how much they mean to you! I'm personally at an obvious big life change getting married in 2025...and despite the longer hours and at times stress of the game...I've never been happier in my entire life. I'm looking forward to continuing to work hard for everyone :)
