Public Corporate Development Memo (4/7/2024)

Hi everyone!

I apologize in advance as Patrons may have seen a few of these images here and there, but I like to do a public post every so often. I will probably do another one when a bit further along the episode again.

So after about 35 days, I am hitting 505 renders and have about 2500 lines of code. I consider this a pretty good start for an update as I tend to start a bit slower and speed up more as I crunch to finish up.

For Patrons, the dom poll tied from the first time, and this time the office boss fantasy was the winner. I'm not even sure I can post the poll winner on a public post (since it's adult I guess) but the dom one that won the prior tie vote was CEO Kane, CFO Veronica, HR Director Kiyomi, and the two employees begging for their jobs Angelica and Nurse Reyes. I am still to this day always impressed at the voting strength of Reyes. I always knew certain others would be very strong all along (especially Olivia and Doctor Chastain) but did not see Reyes at all this way. Maybe her optional death was a mistake!

I have put up some preview shots that I think are ok being non-adult. It's a bit hard in some ways to find such images, hehe. But I have put together a few for preview here.

I am taking a very short trip for the eclipse, and will leave later today but still be back by Tuesday night. I have family at a prime spot for it, but I hear it might be cloudy anyway, but even if so, that's ok. I'll still enjoy the day out there!

Flying is usually a good time for me to write on the game because I'm always relaxed and (usually anyway) comfy as long as my seat next to me doesn't have someone annoying. (if I am really lucky, the seat is empty and not filled at the last minute) with time to write undistracted by others with critical needs/tasks for stuff outside the game. So I expect to have a good writing session on the way there, and on the way back. On my last trip to Malaysia/Singapore I wrote about 500 renders on the plane which is really good and was a big chunk of Episode 8, Part I.

Some of the previews above I want to edit/tweak a bit, but they give a general idea of some non-adult shots. I would say I am on a good pace -- especially for the first month -- and am having no issues so far at all. It is kind of a rare peaceful time for me working on the game. I am enjoying it so far similar to Episode 5. (Episode 5 was for me when I felt the most enjoyment working on the game, and Episode 6 was when I kind of felt most "in the zone" more often during individual sessions of work than any other episode)

As always, I want to say thank you for anyone that has in any way provided positive support/energy for the game. I'm still proud to say that (ok not literally perfect but pretty close) I have been posting an update every Sunday pretty consistently for a long time now. This may not seem like a big deal to some, but for me it is given what I know about my time and schedule overall.

April is a busy month for me usually (taxes, fiscal year stuff, my birthday, a couple of contract renewals/negotiation) but so far so good! I feel pretty positive right now about everything!
