Just another weekly update as I am starting to get back into the grind of moving on 0.7. I've been able to catch up quite a bit with my real work over the last ten days, so I'm really happy about that right now.
I hope everyone enjoyed the monthly renders! It was about 65 renders, and the second set was...urgh a bit rough, haha!
I have a very ambitious goal for the month of July in terms of writing, and I'll see how it goes this week before I kind of go over everything in more detail. :)
Because of the monthly image work, I didn't do as many renders for 0.7 this week, but I am prepping the big party scene a lot. I have a few test images I would like feedback on for dresses -- before, I had sent the staff outfits, but this time it's a few more guests. The images are transparent, so take a look:
I'm a little iffy on two of them in particular, but I don't want to advertise which ones they are in case I'm way off base. Any comments/thoughts/love/hate on the dresses would be appreciated as I'm going to try and move to the action quite soon.
The scene I worked on this week is a spoiler so I don't really want to share anyone people this time. But, I will provide a test shot I did of the location -- this is going to be very early in 0.7.
I have a huge ambitious goal for writing because this is the month I am traveling. In a way, I am likely to get MORE done on the game because I will have less distractions from multiple different business/investment things as I am entrusting my mentor (modeled as Phoebe in Karlsson's Gambit) to watch things for me just in case. I am also having Anais free up a little time to help with monthly images too. But, I am going to release polls for July very early (this week) so I can get a head start on them before I leave. I may release them very fast this time so keep on the lookout for those...I will maybe do a third small poll for dominant path Kane but it won't impact the other two. I honestly am unlikely to do 35 images each this time, as I usually stick to 18-25 or so, but I really missed doing the monthly images, haha!
I am traveling quite far, and it's possible I may switch from Sunday to Saturday during this time as I may be "off the grid" a day or two during a specific timeframe. I think I'll actually get more done for 0.7 during this time. I have a very ambitious goal for writing since I will have some free time to do that when winding down each day, etc.
0.7 Progress: 130 renders, 7,700 words
I might announce my goal for writing this month if I do okay this week -- here's hoping! I appreciate the support and especially the nice words from everyone both publicly and privately.
I might also discuss the length issue of 0.7 more formally when August starts -- in a nutshell, I believe at first glance I could end up with 2000 renders and between 50-60k word update, or get it over 3000 again and maybe 85-105k words. (these are rough estimate, I don't have this so nailed down yet, haha!)
Ok, for me it's late when I have gotten home, so I need to sleep! Hope everyone has a great week, and expect polls quite soon!

Ah, that's clever! I thought the dresses were built with an inherent wardrobe malfunction, but being able to rearrange the outfit to suit the situation is pretty neat. FWIW, I reckon if Veronica doesn't care about her appearance as much as her sisters, she's still rocking that dress for me!

Regarding the exposed breasts and stuff, that's just me testing the dress for possible future shots (if they can wear the dresses while in action so to speak as that's something I have to think about ahead of time with clothes before writing) so ordinarily -- walking in to a party she would be covered, haha! Veronica's dress is kind of recommended by her mother in a sense and yes, she might not quite care as much...or does she? Hmm, thanks again!

2022-07-04 10:20:36 +0000 UTCDominique is one of the dresses I am debating, but with Juliette, maybe I am seeing her a bit differently. She is more chaos/disorder than her sister Dominique who likes order/clarity so for me it kind of works ok. But I see your point too!

In terms of representing their individual characters or being things they might actually wear, Alessandra's and Dominique's dresses are the clear winners for me. Juliette doesn't strike me as someone who puts much effort into pleasing others and thus probably wouldn't try to impress or tittilate with an exposed breast, unlike Dominique with her self-esteem and body image issues. Veronica is an unusual character that probably does not have much use for fashion. I have no idea what she would wear left to her own devices, so I'll just assume someone recommended or simply laid out your choice for her and it'll work for me. Thanks as always for all you do in making this incredible game and your top-tier community engagement. You're awesome!

2022-07-04 01:02:53 +0000 UTCHi, and good luck on your travels :) Regarding the dresses: the top four look like standard guest-type fare and should fit perfectly in any general gathering. I particularly like Veronica's dress, and Alessandra's dress is very nice, too. Juliette's dress - needs re-thinking by the designer, and I'm not sure that someone who likes control as much as Juliette does would appreciate the... excessive asymmetry of the right hip/thigh. Dominique's dress would probably look better without the frilly bits. Colours are good, though. I suppose Dominique's could be a deeper/darker shade of gold.

2022-07-03 18:33:13 +0000 UTCYou are, as always, the best Dev on Patreon regarding communication with your backers I am aware of. Kudos. Regarding the dresses: I adore the dresses of Karlssons's sisters, Veronica's especially, very colourful and fitting their personalities. The dresses for the older DeKock and Nadia are much more reserved and seem like they are expecting a more serious/businesslike environment, so do not really harmonize with the sisters' attire, but since DeKocks' are in "potentially hostile territory" I think it is ok. I also really like how Delilah's dress style straddles the line inbetween and thus shows her double allegiance. All in all I like it.
