January Movies Suggestions! (Award Winners)

Due to many requests for a poll like this we are going to give it a run and see what happens. ONLY movies with at least 1 Award (Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTA) will be counted in this selection. ⚠️ ONLY ONE SUGGESTION PER PERSON, MOST LIKES WILL MAKE IT INTO THE ACTUAL POLL! ⚠️

⚠️ PLEASE TRY TO ADD THE AWARD THE MOVIE WON IN THE SUGGESTION ⚠️

So many really great choices here. I hope they do a second round with the movies that don't make it. Maybe in the future, narrow it down to Awards winners of 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc, though the further back you go, the less suggestions you'll get.

gdcalhoun

Agreed.

And they still enjoy it, and that's the whole point of a poll, and on top of that, the whole point of why they do their picks every month? You know, so that they can have both? Just because YOU might think a movie is terrible, doesn't mean that it is. And as long as Rob and Trin have fun with it, and others that watch it enjoy it, THAT is what matters. Instead, I think everyone, especially Rob and Trin, would prefer if we could have a month, just at LEAST once, where there's no complaining about the polls.

Can we do one month where it isn’t a popularity contest lol ? Like maybe the most intriguing, pithy and compelling requests get a month haha I just feel bad because you guys have been doing this for years and because of the popularity contest aspect you guys miss out on all the best movies, and some pretty terrible but popular ones get recommended

Ben

Disgusting and wildly offensive propaganda. Truly a hateful and vile movie glorifying a real child killer and murderer of civilians. He was and always will be a certified war criminal.

Ben

This movie will not get votes but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the best movies. If someone told a critic to write a review of a Van Gogh in 1880 they would say “no, no one has heard of him or seen any of his work”, and they would be missing out on the greatest masterpieces of the late 1800’s……. Being There 1979 Winner: 1980 Oscar best actor in a supporting role. Winner: 1980 BAFTA best screenplay
