Dexter never learns. He's always selfish. Deb deserves more effort from him.

Then again, Dexter's way of wanting to keep the baddies for himself... causes more damage about half the time. If he had funneled info about Travis to Deb, when he got on his radar... then maybe these later crimes wouldn't have happened. Dexter's way also often denies victims any concrete resolution. Like that time Dex messed up his paperwork, on the stand... and the perpetrator went free. Dexter went on to kill him. But how will the little boy, who's father was the victim, ever know that the monster is gone? He'll grow up not knowing if he's still out there. Unless Dexter sends him a card.

Dexter doesn’t get a pass on this one just because he’s a serial killer and can’t talk about what he’s doing, he really does treat her bad some times
