The pacing of the last episode was kinda awkward to me. It was all over the place but not in an organic way like it usually is. Nevertheless I was hoping for Jeff & Annie to end up together because that chemistry is UP THERE 🔥. I was sad to see her go at first so I am definitely excited for season 2.

Ken Jeong was a big LOST fan and I believe he improvised the line about “I will find a loophole. And I will kill you” from LOST😍😍 so cool!!!

I 100% get it I wasn’t trying to be that person that takes fictional characters that seriously. It’s a comedy show so I know it’s far from based in reality. I was just saying in my opinion and from my experiences I find large age gaps like that uncomfortable. It’s Just a personal preference I get that different parts of the world and separate families have different norms

James

The entire subject is subjective. Some people are mature for their age, and some people aren't. There is no hard or fast rule that covers all situations. Is Annie too immature for Jeff? Maybe... maybe not. These are fictional characters with comically inflated caricature-like traits - and would be a lot more grounded if based in any reality. I know people who, in their early 20's, started dating significantly older people, and like most relationships, it didn't work out.. but it also wasn't a dumpster fire either. I knew a girl in my high school graduating class that was dating a dude in his 30's... and that carries a certain stigma in todays world... but it doesn't change the fact that they married after she graduated and started university, and last I had heard, they are still together and had a great few decades raising horses and running the dog show circuit with their animals. For them, it was the right decision, and I don't fault them for it. While I will say that large age gaps do carry with them certain issues that need to be discussed between the two people who are at different points in their lives... it can, and has, worked out for many couples.

You've seen Good Will Hunting on the channel 1,5 year ago ;)

Vaughn looked younger I didn’t know his actual age I didn’t like him either though so I’m not saying he was better. I guess it’s just a me thing but age gaps like that just seem wrong Annie is supposed to be like 19 what does a 19 year old have in common with someone who’s in their 30s. She’s fresh out of highschool and Jeff was a lawyer like come on

James

Jeff and Annie had me at their second "M'Lady/M'Lord". I don't think this was anyone's intention when setting up the series. But Alison Brie and Joel McHale's chemistry lit up their scenes. The best things happen organically like that. Great Season 1. Prepare to laugh even more in Season 2.

I am a plumber....and the connections Troy is tightening/loosening in his episode, absolutely do 'not' have anything to do with altering the flow of water in those pipes - lol

Community did well here to follow the chemistry... because the Jeff & Annie chemistry is undeniable. And adorable. I feel like it's a waste of energy for folks to get hung up on the age gap with fictional consenting adults. Plenty of people's parents have 10+ year age gaps. And Annie won't always be 19. Vaughn is certainly 9-10 years older than her... yet Annie is beyond him in many ways. I think Jeff and Annie balance each other in intellectuality and personality. But are they ready for each other? This show will always be a comedy about group dynamics, first and foremost.

Octavia

What about Vaughn though? He's around 28-29... same age as Britta. (The actor was in his 30s.) So he's 9-10 years older while dating Annie. I don't think age gaps matter that much in consenting adulthood. Jeff and Annie are the best match intellectually and emotionally.

I love it when reactors are Jeffannie shippers, it makes me feel like I'm with my people hihi

Annie

but they are the cutest!! 💝🙏

Great 2 episodes. Absolutely loving where ever this show is going I was really skeptical of it at first but I already love it. The age gap on Annie and Jeff makes me uncomfortable I can’t really ship that.

James

it's from Good Will Hunting. 😮 When Will's best friend tells him "Let me tell you what I know. Every day I come by your house and I pick you up. And we go out we have a few drinks and a few laughs, and it's great. You know what the best part of my day is? It's for about 10 seconds from when I pull up to the curb to when I get to your door. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll knock on the door and you won't be there. No goodbye, no see you later, no nothin'. You just left. I don't know much, but I know that." He tells him he has a gift and shouldn't waste it. "It'd be an insult to us if you're still here in 20 years. Hanging around here is a fuckin' waste of your time." Some of the best lines I've ever heard.
