Another really good Christmas/Action movie if Rob & Trin might consider is Red (2010). Although Christmas is just a timeframe in the film, but if you liked Die Hard I think you would really like Red.

There are a wide variety of Seasonal movies, that take place over the holidays... including action movies. There's more varierty for Christmas then there is for Halloween/Horror.

Also, -A Midnight Clear (about the WW1 Xmas truce). And -Scrooged is a fun take on A Christmas Carol.

I don't like most action movies but there were some in the polls that I like, f.e. Lucy. But none of them is in this list. So I really hope Rob and Trin will pick some great movies themselves and some for a nice christmas feeling, too... 😕
