I am so glad you're reacting to this. There is an interesting non-Fallout easter egg within the Brotherhood of Steel. The Cleric who smacks maximus in the face with the ruler is named Felix. The Elder Cleric is named Quintus... One of the writers was clearly a Gladiator fan considering Quintus was Maximus' second in command of the Felix legions. :D <3

It's a fantastic series and so loyal to the games, really does feel like you've been dropped into the world of the games. You should definitely play the games if you ever find the time they're fantastic!
