Fear The Walking Dead: S3E08 Children of Wrath - First time watching!

Comments

I enjoyed that episode so much. I'm kinda sad that I quit watching but now it just means I get to watch with you two.

I don’t see Carol as a villain overall. But what she did in that moment was eugenics (killing off a sick or disabled person) which is never ok. Quarantine would’ve worked. They had cells to look the sick in, in case they died and turned. It didn’t need to be done at all. There were other ways.

It was joke 😂 Wait... Was Rob joking too? 🤔 Love you people 😍

Count Monte-Cristo

watching 4 new shows, 3 movies the same week for the first time AND the last thing I have seen before recording is stuff I edited for youtube. Yeah it gets confusing but would be less confusing if I had seen all this stuff before 😂

Rob never knows what episode they are watching. Needs some memory training. Kudos to Trin, she's always aware

Honestly you'd have to have a time machine to see who actually owns that land, there's tons of Native tribes that have been raping and pillaging and stealing land from each other for millenia.

I never understood the "Madison might be the villain" people. She reminds me of Carol.. & people also said she was becoming the villain when she burned those bodies, too. I never saw that in either of them. Still don't. I dig characters who can be ruthless when they need to be.

@Jennifer 100%. Totally different contexts. It's wild to see people think they're the same.

This episode.... I remember when I first saw it as it aired on tv. It confirmed that Madison, unlike most people we have seen in any Walking dead show to this point.... was a straight-up killer before the apocalypse. What I 'reaaaaaaalllly' wanted to happen, was for them to start seeding rumors into the main Walking Dead series, about the 'Great Warlord Societies' growing out west, and then discover, in Fear, that we were seeing the birth of those brutal civilizations... an antithesis to the 'heroes' of the main show. If anyone was capable... Madison would be.

Keith Duperreault

@Jennifer Still a racist and a murderer though, you can't justify that i'm afraid.

PhoenixReturns

Nope. There was no real selling of the land by indigenous peoples. Indigenous are land protectors - no one on Turtle Island owns the land. They were killed, beaten into submission, starved, raped by settlers... Walker is fully justified.

Jennifer Gauthier

Thx, this NOW makes sense:)

Jessica Rocha

We always do the NOW to synchronise the video with what we say when we render it, sometimes we can find a spot in the begining and we can cut it before uploading the video and sometimes we don't so it stays in the upload :) but yeah it's mainly to make sure that the reaction is not out of synch with what we see.

Complicated.... Otto is racist as hell, stubborn, and prideful, but Walker is no better, and if his ancestors really did sell the land then he has no right to be doing what he's doing. But then again courts have a long history of going against Native Americans, and we can't know for sure if Otto is being truthful about how he acquired the ranch. Again it's complicated, but it's also a true to life conflict. Much more real than anything the main show has done tbh. It almost feels goofy in comparison.

Maybe I missed a video or something… Just out of curiosity, Rob when and why did you start saying NOW??? At first it drove me nuts, but now you have me doing it to every show I watch,Lol! Thx for all your content! :)

Jessica Rocha

I love this season as well. This conflict is so well-written because there really is no hero or villain. Otto is clearly a racist, but he's not a cheesy caricature. He gave Ofelia water. Meanwhile, Walker is a bit sadistic and instigated the conflict but you can't exactly blame him given what happened. Fantastic characters! Also, we finally get some MAJOR development for Maddie! So much makes sense about her after that reveal about her dad.

Joshua Markham

This Was A Pretty Good Mid Season 3 Finale So Now 8 More Episodes Until Fear The Walking Dead Season 4 And Most People Know What Happens And I Can't Wait For Season 4 And Season 3 Episodes 9-16 Too

Anthony Tucceri

That music at the end though wow

Coming from someone whose girls are 27 and 22. I'd go Madison meets Law Abiding Citizen on anyone that was even a threat to my girls. Kim Dickins(Madison) portrays this type of parenting perfectly. People want to say she's crazy and stuff and has a weird relationship with her kids, but it's so real life. And I'm guessing Madison knows when she's being overprotective or overbearing she just doesn't give a shit. I feel that. lol

Annie Bonz

Something that was going to be in the episode that Ofelia's actress Mercedes Mason was pretty upset that they cut out; when: Otto leaves Ofelia in the desert and says she wouldn't be welcome at the ranch, Otto was then going to say that women of colour are only good for one thing. "All I would be able to use you for is a comfort girl". Which is then why Ofelia spits at him.

Thanks RT I love seeing the details I missed when the series aired And also for forgoing captions I realize it's so the dialog can be understood but I find it distracting from the actors performance due to my impulse to be reading the words on the screen Still, I appreciate your insights and banter Your spot on calling the future path of the series seems, at times, clairvoyant! Keep it going please!
