Can agree with this 100%, our frustration is ofc what they wanted us to feel and is making us stay on the path so we can hope for some kind of payback. Does not make it enjoyable to see our guys get bullied etc, BUT it is also by design and if there is a pay off it will be so damn good 🥰

And that’s exactly why we are following our group’s stories and not Negan’s, or the Wolves, or the Sanctuary people, or the Governor. Nobody would have wanted to watch some psychopaths for 11 seasons 😂

That’s exactly what I’ve always thought. They needed it and we needed it. Rick needed to be reminded that as badass as he can be, there’s always a threat outside. And as for us, we would have been bored if they won all the time.

(A little late here, sorry) I get what you guys are saying about not wanting to see the group like this, but I honestly think it’s what we needed. Every time they have come across an enemy group, they win, which could be seen as a bit repetitive (even if we all still enjoy it). Seeing them losing to the Saviors is a much different tone than what we previously had. I think the change of pace and tone is what we needed for this new season.

Not really, Karissa. There's no other perspective. Negan and the Saviors are bad dudes, that's all there is to it. If we'd been watching them instead, like that other person said, we'd just be watching a villains story.

because negan had no business enslaving people and taking their stuff. rick and them tried to take out a literal threat to people's lives. they live in an apocalypse. food and resources are already difficult to come by, what negan and them are doing is disgusting and dangerous to people's lives. who cares if they took out 40 people who helped enslave others? abe and glenn were worth 100 of the saviors each

The baby Aaron adopted is in season 8, you are totally spoiling there. And they didn’t “steal” the baby. Also yes, I agree, Rick’s group attacked the Saviors but I guess you forgot the Saviors attacked Sasha, Darryl and Ab on the road and were ready to kill them. I guess we’ll never know if the Saviors would have found Alexandria or if it was a good idea for Rick to attack them. On that we agree that “maybe” it wasn’t a good idea.

Gościu, ty mówisz o odcinku z 8. sezonu. "Jedyne" co zrobili ludzie Ricka przed spotkaniem Negana to zabicie ludzi w tym posterunku z satelitą, więc usuń to bo spoiler. I nie zgodze sie, bo choć ludzie Negana nic nie zrobili ludziom Ricka a oni powybijali caly posterunek to skrzywdzili mnóstwo innych ludzi i grup. Nawet Glenn i Jacob widzą to na ścianie z ponad 20 porozwieszanymi zdjęciami z rozbitymi głowami.

It's so true that it's the people around Negan, who think they're Negan, that are the most dangerous. As bad as Negan is, he definitely has a code & does keep his word.

I'm glad we have episodes like this to prove that Rick and Co. did the absolute right thing by taking out the outpost/bad guys. The only thing he did wrong was not observe the group long enough to realize there are way more of them so he could take them all out. If he had observed long enough he may have been able to find a way to take out the psychotic generals and foot-soldiers and not hurt the workers Negan was mistreating daily. There is no way that any of the Saviors viewed themselves as the good guys lol you can't come for people's supplies by way of threatening to kill them and actually believe that you're the good guy.

I hate Negan, but he is just so funny and charming, he makes a joke and I feel bad for laughing, I just see Glenn and Abrahamn in my head being disappointed at me LOL.

They got a few 1ups this episode with Rosita's gun and Maggie's grave. Rick HAD to be taken down a peg or two. The entire first episode is Rick's transformation into this submissive shell of his former self. It just wouldn't have worked if he'd bounced right back. Not to mention he doesn't have Maggie, Daryl or Carol at his side at this point. He's on his own, playing by the rules. As frustrating as it feels, it's incredibly well written in terms of contrast from previous seasons. This late in the series, it HAS to feel different. Here's hoping it's temporary.
