I can kind of understand. Sayid was on a good path then he loses everything & Ben comes along. He gives Sayid a purpose again.. a chance to help his friends.. then Ben just leaves him broken, alone, & with zero closure. I can see how that mixed with his own self doubt & loathing would trigger his anger. Plus all of the stuff Ben did from S2 onward.

My first thought would be to take Hitler or Ben & raise them myself lol

Ben's truly a sweet kid here, as James said, with an abusive father. Even setting a van on fire as a distraction... while partly as a way out for himself, it was also the surest way to help someone, that he viewed as a compatriot, escape execution. I can never quite accept Sayid's hatred of Ben. As shown, I mean. There are legitimate reasons to blame Ben. But running out of threats to kill... hardly seems like a good one. I know that the mission gave Sayid purpose when he was lost. But there's nothing really wrong about saying, mission accomplished. (I guess Ben should've given Sayid a 30 day notice.) If Ben was truly a monster, then he'd just have an endless kill list. Sayid's over-reaction seems more like a projection of his own self-loathing. Too bad Sayid never got Daniel's memo... whatever happened, always happened.

I also love that we get an answer to the age old question... if you could go back in time would you kill Hitler as a child??? Well, we know what Sayids answer to that question is. Hahahaha
