Happy Halloween weekend!
It feels like I can properly start getting into the spirit now since I've been swamped all month. Anyways, with the abundance of music that orchestras/random people rapping over the lyrics will be hungry to lay a claim on I don't expect the Ring video to survive on YouTube, at least not unaltered. I'll be genuinely shocked if no one tries to make a grab at it, but in the case that it does I put a backup of the video on Vimeo for now that's embedded into this post. It's not a case of ad revenue, more that music claims will sometimes region block or worldwide block a video until sections are muted/removed and this happening all over it would really gut it. If I get away with some tiny muted sections without any blocks I'll be happy, but my faith isn't strong on that.
Also the Rhine maidens. That might be an issue too but who knows.
I did try to make the public version the "uncut" one where it wouldn't flag anything automatically and also not cut any parts that I thought were essential. One bit planned for the video did end up being delayed and will re-emerge in a future one, so it's not -entirely- the end of Ring, just 99%. So there's no super secret extra long version I cooked up or anything, but this will just keep it a bit safer and easy to access for Patrons without needing to download any huge files.
Thanks as always for your support! You all make "experiences" like this one viable when they're extremely shaky on the YouTube side.
