We're launching Youtube Memberships, what does this mean for Patreon?

Hi there Patrons!  If you weren't able to watch our last update video, (VIDEO LINK) than you may have missed that were launching Youtube memberships.   In the interest of being upfront and honest with you, our supporters we wanted to make sure you understood what that meant for Patreon and you're much valued support.

Largely it means... NO IMPACT TO PATREON.

Patreon continues to be and will continue to be one of the primary ways that we support and fund what we do here.  But there seem to be a number of people who have contacted us who wish to support us and/or watch the narrative series but are either not able to, or do not want to interact through Patreon itself.

What the plan is, is to take our Produced Narrative Series, and put them incrementally on  Youtube memberships.  It won't reduce the amount of content Patreon gets, just allow an alternative way to access the narrative series were producing.  Patreon will in all likelihood end up getting content far ahead of any membership release as well!

We're hoping to not essentially create TWO separate communities, but just an alternative way of supporting PlayOn and helping us grow.  A discord invite will accompany the membership, allowing us to try and build one amazing community together.

Any thoughts on this, or challenge with this, don't hesitate to let us know.  We value your input.

Thanks again for all the support you have shown us and were looking forward to what the future has in store!

I'm truly Sorry! Let me take a look. Perhaps there's a way we can give access to it? hmm. Sounds like we should try it or something similar for the upcoming Patreon Live stream?

That makes me sad. But I love you guys so I'll just live with it. Shame content has to be split and we don't see it all even as a paying member. The description sounded like your best video yet.

Hi there, sorry for the confusion. Youtube membership did get one live stream yes. And have a couple more planned for months in the future, but to be honest they are few and far between. Patreon ends up receiving more livestreams than Membership actually. Honestly, the best way is that we could make both accessible to both! But unfortunately how membership is set up it doesn't allow that. As much as humanly possibly our goal though is to make it the same content across platforms, but there will be the occasional stuff that is by the nature of the platform exclusive to one and not the other. Does that make sense?

A friend mentioned a Guard Vs Chaos Knight steam. That seems to be a YouTube Member exclusive, or have I missed it here? I thought we didn't have to pay twice to get it all?
