Exclusive Sneak Peak at our Next Major Projects

Three new shows have been green lit for pilots! We are excited to show you a bit of footage from our upcoming pilot series where we take you to one of the most iconic war zones in the Warhammer 40k universe, Armageddon.

Starting mid-March we will be releasing this new content.

NARRATIVE CAMPAIGN 3-PART SERIES (Patreon Exclusive)

Last year we had our Tombworld Narrative Crusade series and this year we decided to do it again except this time it will be exclusively for our own community. This story driven 3-episode series will explore a conflict on planet Armageddon between the Orks commanded by resident Waaagh'er James Jones. 

Armageddon is where the largest green skin invasion threatened the Imperium of Man. James' Orks look to lay waste to a major hive city so it is up to Nick and the Steel Legion to stop them.

Producers' Notes: We want to try and give Patrons something fresh and exciting on a consistent basis so we chose to dive into mini-series. If this first one is successful we can explore several conflicts over the course of the year in this mini-series format. 

40K FEATURES

Last year we tried creating a spectacle with our Tyranids vs Ultramarines episode with custom mission, custom board, and a little more focus on storytelling. Based on the episode's reception we now want to take the idea to the next level.

40K Features will be more story-focused and be more than a game. We look to really forge the narrative with spectacular looking battles and interesting conflicts.

Our first 40K Feature, and possibly all of them, will be directly tied to the Narrative mini-series. In this pilot we explore the defence of a hive city where iconic characters have returned to Armageddon to settle old grudges. Ghazghkull Thraka, Yarrick, and Grimaldus will all play a major part.

Producers' Notes: A typical 40k in 40m is a monster effort where the editing alone is about 50-hours per episode. 40K Features involves custom table creation, mission creation, larger pointed armies, and bigger shoots leading into a more complex edit. Depending on how this one goes we hope to be able to pull off one 40K Feature a quarter.

We have an interesting idea on how we can produce interesting lore content in a way only Play On could. This concept is still early stages and our plan is to produce it alongside Narrative and 40K Features. 

Producers' Notes: It is still too early to say much about this particular show and we will share more as we develop the concept further.
