Hello Patrons!
The Adeptus Mechanicus are coming! While reading through the comments on YouTube we saw quite a few comments requesting the Ad Mech and wanted to oblige. Tak played the Adeptus Mechanicus throughout most of 7th Edition and when he saw the Archaeopter and Sulphurhounds he thought it was time to start them up again.

Tak had sold most of his 7th Edition army last year. He retained some including the Mars coloured Kastelan Robots above. He had a traditional Mars theme with Mars basing. While a big fan of that colour it was the new Skorpius Disentegrators that brought him back to wanting to paint the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Left is what we acquired and right is the progress we are making on converting them to our colour scheme.
The aesthetic of the Adeptus Mechanicus screamed "historical" to Tak. At first he was talking to a friend who was starting up an Adeptus Mechanicus force at the end of 2019. They talked about doing a World War II-esque look and this friend, Andrew, went out and started to assemble his Ad Mech force. Later on it was this particular force that Tak purchased off Andrew to convert to his version of that scheme.

It was JT who did the basing for Andrew's Ad Mech force that Tak ended up acquiring. Small world. Though, Tak would take the basing in a slightly different direction.

This is 1/2 of what was acquired already built and used.
To make this interesting and fun, and to give us a reason to buy new models, we decided to try and include as many of the newer releases as possible. While we were quite happy acquiring Onagers and infantry we did want the new flyers and troops as well.

Tak does NOT know how to use Green Stuff. But is attempting it.
There are always deadlines here at Play On Tabletop that may not allow us to get our armies done to full completion. We might be shooting our battles a full month to month and a half prior to release to give us the time we need to edit.
The Adeptus Mechanicus battle has already been shot though we won't start promoting it until closer to when the edit is done. We also have a new sponsor Deadly Print Studios for this one who supplied us a bunch of his effects that we used on our armies. Tak particularly enjoyed the flames for the Sulphurhound.
What do you think of our colour scheme? What models do you want to see in the battle? Who do you think is the opponent?
