Araragi is still partially vampire, he is in the same state as after Kizu. If he lost his vampire side Shinobu would become Kiss-Shot again.

There was a bunch of classic Araragi sister banter in the novel. Here's just one bit: “Karen-chan. You’re a high school girl now, right?” “What’s with that, all of a sudden? But, that’s right. I’ve become able to get married.” “That’s not because you’re a high school girl, it’s because you’ve turned 16 years old. If anything, you’ve gotten harder to marry. Especially for me.” “Nii-chan, for you I’m the most difficult person in the world to marry. I’m your little sister!”

2025-03-05 19:18:35 +0000 UTCThe vampirism that was gotten rid of when he went to hell in Owari S2 was the innate vampirism he had developed himself from getting too used to being a vampire and using vampiric skills. When he came back from hell, he was completely human. But at the end of Owari S2, Araragi and Shinobu re-established their link, so he is now back to being a sort of pseudo-vampire. The only thing that is actually gone is the innate vampirism that was established in Tsuki which was separate from Shinobu. If Araragi was fully human, Shinobu would be walking around as the full powered Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade now too.
