2024-10-30 04:21:55 +0000 UTCyea araragi still carries the weight with senjo. i believe karen said she could lift up to 180 kilo. Also about the god making a mistake. it was both a metaphor and the god messing up. So since we are in hanakawa's pov now, its very interesting. Senjo is showing more emotion. When we was in araragi's pov senjo seemed more of a tsudere, where hanakawa sees and tells us about the more emotional side of senjo. I love how Monogatari uses pov and how you can't tell if a character is lying to you sometimes. Notice how we didn't get to see araragi and senjo kiss under the stars. Or him spending time with her on her bday, or when he took her on a date. We've seen him kiss his sister (Tsukihi) so he isn't shy about telling us that. But.. He keeps everything(dating wise) with senjo private.

It's even more obvious in the light novels but for all of first season, we were always 100% locked into Araragi's POV. But in this arc for the first time, we have switched perspective and are now seeing Hanekawa's POV. Of course in the light novel it is an even more obvious shift since all the novels are always written from a first person perspective which was always Araragi up until this point, but even in the anime it makes quite the obvious difference. The circumstance we'd seen these characters in so far had always been shown specifically interacting with Araragi, so a conversation between Hachikuji and Hanekawa or Senjougahara and Hanekawa alone without Araragi present at all is a completely new dynamic we had never seen before
