Progress Report

Salutations everyone! I actually meant to post this yesterday, but had a few minor life issues crop up and steal the time I would have done so away. Obviously, since the polls aren't finished yet (Make sure you got vote if you haven't yet! They end in a day!) I can't cover too much. But it's not like I've been idle, so...

Haven's Port

I've gotten a solid running start so far, I have the renders for four scenes already done, with another one in progress as I type this. As you can see, they are focused on rounding out the various Dates for Rose Garden, and adding Dates for Lexie over on Jerta. Akari has a new date done, Fiona has her Rose Garden date done, and Lexie has two already with a third in progress. After those are done, I'll need to wait for the poll results before I can work on anything else. Thankfully, the timing should work out nicely there.

Short Story

I've gotten a small start on one of the short stories. I have zero clue which story is going to win the poll (sorry about forgetting to make it multi-vote possible again -_-. By the time I realized I'd overlooked that again, there were already a decent number of votes in). Which means that I simply picked out which story I thought I could work on most easily this time. If it's not the poll winner it will be the second story of the month. If it happens to be the poll winner...than, yay? No, I won't tell you which story it is, as I don't want to skew the results of the still ongoing poll. Hopefully, by the time I crash later this morning, I'll have a couple thousand words down for it, though.

Wallpaper

As usual, the wallpapers' renders were the very first thing I did in the month. It's just a matter of making myself post process them at this point. I really don't know why I hate doing that so much, aside from the fact that the process is tedious as heck. Less the actual post-processing and more the making-them-into-compressed-files-of-several-different-resolutions bit. I've usually been trying to aim them to be a mid-month reward anyway. So expect to see them somewhere around then.

Aside form those updates, I do have a small warning to give. Namely, that I don't really know how big this update will be. I'm expecting a decent minimum size. No fewer than 15-17 scenes, probably. But I both A) Only have an outline for the Endgame content and B) Have three different medical procedures this month that are going to each zap at least a full day each out of my usual schedule. They aren't anything super serious, the first one for example is a Root Canal of a tooth (ugh). But they are the sorts of things I fully expect to make me fucking miserable enough to trash an entire day.

Still, I scheduled them in a Haven's Port month on purpose, as there's a lot more flex in the schedule than there is in Left Hand Magic months. So the small warning is just that, small. I still expect the build to be a decently sized one. Just perhaps not as big as it could have been if I didn't have those life-issues getting in the way. Life sucks, I know. And sadly no one has left me roses by the stairs recently. Also, I'm probably dating myself by saying that. And any of you who immediately started singing the song are dating yourselves too ;-)...
