October Comic - Stranded on Silas Station (Part 1)
Added 2021-10-26 04:58:18 +0000 UTCAlright! Another of the monthly rewards knocked out! Thank goodness for that, as Left Hand Magic is stressing me the fuck out at the moment. The animation is fighting me wwwwwaaaaaayyyyy more than expected. I thought I'd have been finished with it two days ago, but my inexperience is showing and I keep making minor errors that turn into big issues. Ugh. Then there was Windows being a little bitch and completely wiping out one attempt when I tried to control-z undo something. 48 frames of rendering, over 5 hours of work, just gone and whatever the fuck windows thought it was doing didn't even send them to the recycling bin. It just...erased all those animation frames T-T. All told, the second half of the animated scene is currently re-rendering for the 5th time.
Enough of that though, this post is for Silas Station. Which, I actually think turned out pretty darn well, actually. It's a bit shorter than I'd have liked, but serves as an excellent intro into this possible series. And I've got my eye on some additional assets for additional 'training' rooms. As usual, I've attached a PDF with the story, and a zip file with the original 2k renders, just in case you want to use them as backgrounds or prints or whatever. I hope you enjoy!
