Progress Report + Poll Results

Alright! Poll results first since it was pretty one-sided. Photoreal won the poll for the art style with about a 80/20 split. I'd like to say I'm surprised...but I'm not. The oil paint style just wasn't good enough, despite my best efforts. However, for those that were hoping for something different, all is not lost. While Photoreal with be the primary style of the game while in development, I'm hoping to continue working on a better alternate art style method, which I would release as a bonus at some point later in development. I can't guarantee that, but it's something I like to do.

As is, however, expect Left Hand Magic to have art similar (but hopefully slightly better overall) to Haven's Port in style. I'll be aiming to render at the same 2k image quality, but I'm hoping to have better assets overall, so that every image in the game will conform to a standard that matches the best images from Haven's Port. 

Now then! On to the progress reporting stuff.

Haven's Port

This is going pretty well. I've finished all renders for the 17 scenes I was expecting to finish. I've even done the post-processing work on about 95% of those renders. I'll be wrapping up that post-processing work today, as well as hopefully getting started on the groundwork for the coding portion. I'm about...80% sure that it will be released on time. 

The only reason I'm not 99% sure is that, regrettably, I've had a bunch of doctor's appointments crammed into the latter half of this month. Hopefully nothing serious, just a routine bunch of testing mixed with some less routine stuff as they try to track down why the flaming fuck waffles my iron counts are wacky and have been for a couple of years.

Anyway, barring the usual statement about last-minute disasters beyond my control. Haven's Port should be either right on time or, at most, a day or so late.

Comic

I'm honestly hoping to have this done tonight, though I'll probably leave posting it until tomorrow, since it's always better to wait at least a day before I run the editing pass over the writing portion.

Wallpapers

I only just realized yesterday that, like a dofus, I never posted these. I'll post them at the same time I do the comic, since they are both Royalty Tier rewards. On that note, I may be making an announcement soonish about a new Royalty Tier reward, since with Chastity Quest done the high-speed download links are less of a big deal. Still working out if what I'm thinking is possible, though. 

Short Story

I've finally had a bit of time to properly get started on this! Unfortunately, whether or not it is released on time is very much dependant on how all the other stuff goes. Worst case (barring major issues or disasters) it shouldn't be more than a couple of days late. Even that is really only because it's a new story and I'm doing something a bit different with it. Not, like, drastically different. Just a bit of an experiment. 

Other Stuff

I think I'm going to put off the Left Hand Magic Protagonist Poll until the start of next month. Most of the early month is going to be coding (ugh), so it won't matter much. And it gives me a bit more time to come up with the render samples for the Protagonist possibilities. I have ideas and assets for her, but haven't had the time to actually make the render samples. Plus, I've kinda overwhelmed you guys with polls this month...  

I've managed to update most of the download links for Chastity Quest to include the bugfixes and an update for the credits (plus a few other minor bits). I still have to redo the patches and update the Online version a bit.
