Sometimes, just before I go to bed, I doodle on my iPad, drawing stuff for my own "amusement" *ahem* So it was the other night, when I thought I'd draw a couple of hyper-muscular Tetsuko sketches.
And then the idea hit me: why not Satin Steele as the subject of these studies in exaggerated muscular development? It's something that doesn't cross my mind often, because unlike my other OCs, Satin is somewhat based in the "real world". Yes, a world in which uncanny and outrageous things sometimes happen, from a mystic band of terrorists re-animating a huge dinosaur skeleton to a coven* of vampire women who worship a destructive gelatinous blob.**
But Satin herself I try to keep grounded in believability, in verisimilitude. Her strength is remarkable, but not much greater than a dedicated human can achieve with heavy weight training, proper nutrition and favorable genetics. So this pic - and the others I've drawn over the past few days (which I might finish and post here) - is decidedly non-canonic. There's a physiological limit to how large a human's muscles can grow, and Satin has probably reached hers (and is very unlikely to exceed them). So calls to make her canonically this huge will fall on deaf ears; and any other pics I do like this, as with the "Hyper-Tetsuko" pics I've done in the past, must be considered as fantastical "what if?" visions.
*Not actually sure that a gathering of vampires is called a "coven", but I think it gets the idea across
**That's basically the plot of the next Satin Steele adventure, once I finish "Contest Jitters".
