Kaijuu Fighter Tetsuko is inspired and influenced by the Ultraman franchise and the mid-to-late1960s Godzilla movies, so yeah, there'll be absurdities. (like the whole idea that there's a confederation of planets that for reasons of their own have targeted Earth for destruction, and are using giant monsters as their weapons.)

2023-03-10 18:53:43 +0000 UTCTetsuko may be a mature superhero comic, but it's clearly looking more for laughs and entertainment by putting it's heroine in absurd situations then I imagine Starburst to be. Which is fine! But I look at this scene and I just want to laugh at the giant size Tetsuko about to go 6 rounds with this 99 cent store hybrid of Godzilla and King Kong. Then again, just a few years ago, the Avengers grew to giant size by drinking the blood of the Frost Giants to fight some renegade Celestials-so it's just part of the brand, regardless of whether or not it's my cup of potion. GREAT ART, as usual!
