Chapter no.4 The Mysterious Skeleton

[ POV Change ]
" ~ Agghhrr ~ "
Isaac screamed in pain as he held his left left or whatever was left off it .
Isaac immediately took out the medical kit as the sound of his heavy breathing could be heard throughout the cave .

After wrapping as much bandages as he could , Isaac took out all the painkillers and morphine shots and used everything on his body .
Isaac's vision blurred as the combined effect of overdose of painkillers , morphine and blood loss finally took effect .
Isaac tried to stay away but he could do nothing but helplessly stretch out his hand for help . He knew he was inside a cave that had scared off any kind of monster and assuming the worst Isaac knew he would die that moment he closed his eyes , a tear fell of from his right eyes as his body crashed onto the cave floor , with him completely knocked out cold .

[ Isaac's POV ]
Darkness ; Darkness ; Darkness.
Everything I see , all around me is just darkness like the abyss had engulfed by body .

The smell of something burning assaulted my nose as a pain engulfed my body .
I was being burned alive .
( ~ Ahhh ~ )
I immediately stood up from the nightmare .
Falling back on my butt , I gazed at my left stump .
Looks like it was a dream .
Everything did happen .
( ~ Sigh ~ )
The moment the sigh left my mouth , I felt a stinging sensation.
Suddenly remembering where I was , I stood up to assess my surroundings .
My first assumption that this cave was home to a power demon beast might have been wrong since I was not dead .
That could be the case or it could be that the beast was hibernating or was just not back home .
All of these assumptions could be true or completely false , it remained to be seen .
Using the light provided by the shining moon as I found my bag and took out a bottle of water and chugged it all down .
Man , I don't know why but this was the most sweetest water I have ever drank .
It was as if the Gods had offered me Ambrosia ....ok maybe I am exaggerating a little .

Satisfied with quenching my thirst , I look around the cave I was in .
Even with the light of the moon , I couldn't make out a lot .
Searching my bag , I took out my phone and turned on the flashlight .
With the help of the Flashlight I could see the cave around me which didn't look any different from any other cave except for one thing , the walls of the cave were filled with weird esoteric symbols ... Maybe some kind of message written in this world's language .
The moment I turned to another side of the cave , my heart stopped as I froze while looking at it .
Hunched on the side of the cave was a human skeleton .
" Jesus Christ ! " I exclaimed in surprise as I placed a hand over my heart to stop it from beating so fast .
Moving a little bit closer , I could clearly see it . The Skeleton was actually wearing armour which covered my a lot of dust .

Brushing the dust off the armour , I was surprised to feel the smooth texture of the armour and the entire armour plate didn't have any kind of rust on it .
I stopped myself from taking off the armour from the skeleton as I send out a prayer towards the skeleton as a form of respect . As someone who had traveled to over 80 countries and having witnessed so many cultures and customs based on respecting the dead , I was not superstitious but it really left a bad taste in my mouth if I actually took something for the dead without at least paying my respects .

I looked at the walls of the cave in surprise . The armour I took off from the skeleton was extremely durable judging from the cracks and dent in the cave wall and the armour was decorated by a continuous line of weird symbols that actually looked like scribbles made my a toddler .
The Skeleton also had a Chinese Dao sword along with the armour .
The Sword was sharp , extremely sharp as it effortlessly cut through stones like a hot knife through butter .
And the last thing on the skeleton was a ring .
Using my flashlight , I could see the same scribbles engraved on the ring . At first I thought it could be a marriage ring but that idea was immediately shot down since the man wore the ring on his pointer finger . Since this was a different world , the marriage finger could be considered the pointer finger who knows .
Placing the ring on the armour , I stood up and began to prepare a small burial for the mysterious skeleton when something amazing and fantasy like happened .
An aura or a show of azure light emitted from the chest plate of the armour . The Scribbles glowed with the Azure aura as it penetrated the ring or rather the ring was the center point for the Azure aura .
The Ring shook for a few times as a flash of light enveloped the cave .
I covered my eyes with my right hand . The moment the light died down , I couldn't help but be dumbfounded .
The entire floor was filled with items ranging from dried herbs , journals , a few jade bottles and a few weapons .
I looked at the floor for a few moments in absolute silence as my brain was trying to interpret what had I just seen .
I slowly turned my head to ring placed on the armour .
So similar to the item I had read in Fantasy Novels and Manhuwas.
I couldn't be .
How was this possible ?
This can't be true .
Is this real life right now ?
My mind was riddled with thousands of questions as I exclaimed , "Did I just witness the usage of a Spatial Storage Ring ? "

( A.N : For those of you wondering , what had happened ? The Inscription Arrays on the Armour linked to a Demon Crystal embedded into it , when Isaac placed the ring on the armour , the inscription array on the ring absorbed some of the soul force of the Demon Crystal . Since no one was operating the ring , It expelled out everything inside it )
