Buffy 7x10 Bring on the Night

Thank you all SO much for your help with reporting the channel! I hope that YouTube finally takes notice. Honestly, I find it all a bit moving that you are all so willing to help... Often content creation either with gaming or reactions feels so lonely. I'm always shut away in my room, headphones on, either playing games or watching something and then again with editing the content. I'm sat at my desk constantly on my own and it does feel lonely sometimes. What you all have done is shown me that I am not alone. It doesn't just have to be against the world by myself. Being so stubborn and independent is something I'm trying to work through and you all have helped me so much with that. Thank you.

Wonderful episode - I won't spoil much in my blurb here but the ending was so satisfying and I would like to thank Buffy for the above paragraph as it feels very much like she encouraged me to give a speech of my own 🤣

Have you seen Signs, from 2002? (there's a bit of a throwaway reference here)

Outreach can dishearten if folk don't respond and you have aims: I've found it's important to keep in mind you're doing it for the hot of facilitating. You might like to ping George and Simone at Cinebinge. Theirs is a reaction channel. From time to time they host compiled clips sent by other reactors reading out comments that are nasty or weird and reacting. Those are really fun vids. I think I'll do a few commissions from other Tubers for short inserts in the future. I'll give you a heads up if you like. I wonder who else in your community is making YouTubes?

Sometimes I get envious of people having Christmas work parties 🤣 I should reach out to more creators, but then I a) probably feel imposter syndrome and b) don't have a lot of time which SUCKS and oh boy, I want to change that!!

Juliette Gaming

I think part of it is because Giles is one of my very favourites and I was also desperate to find out what happened after the AXE incident 🤣 He's just so different in this episode too... But maybe he's just worried ☹️

Juliette Gaming

I cannot get over how true to the real Dru it appears to be! It's crazy!

Juliette Gaming

It's so good to see Drusilla again! Even if it is just this first evil thing pretending to be her. She's so much fun.

Even all bloody and cut and wounded, Sarah looks gorgeous in that final scene. Whatever "tired" makeup they put on her actually made her face look incredible, in my opinion. lol

Dusty

coward has all the comments turned off otherwise we could spam the videos with comments on how they are stolen. if you are doing too much maybe put aside some time in your schedule for going out around people and taking a break? i dunno, I'm mostly a hermit. but i have a kid so i see them at least. but shes a teen so i only kind of see her as she goes to her room haha

Yes it was very observant of Jules to notice that. The whole thing is done very subtly.

I actually missed out that Giles didn't touch anyone when I watched the episode for the first time. It is very cleverly done, just when you expect Buffy to hug him, in flood all the potentials and everyone's focus is on them. Well observed that he actually didn't interact with anything.

I just want to pick up where Jules left off in her post. As a creator, I've felt the same loneliness. I figure there's someone else reading this who does too. This will pass. Reach out to someone if its not passing quickly enough. Keep reaching out until you have that contact that heals, and love what you do. Lots of pieces in play at 7x10. There'll be more on the mysteries around Giles and, not soon enough, Principal Wood. He's my favourite new character: a great story and really well acted. I wish we could have had a lot more of him before now.

Andy Luke

Thank you, Jon 😊 it's been great to learn more about the Watchers and Council! There's still so much more I want to know!

Juliette Gaming

I actually mention Camden in the outro of the next episode as I finally noticed his familiar name 😅 he is so iconic!

Juliette Gaming

Great one Jules! We are here with you! I'm so fond of your reactions. It's one of the highlights of the week. So now we have learned two things. 1 - After 7 seasons we finally know what watchers do when they are not with the slayer. They all have assignments to train potential slayers. 2 - The First can only appear as dead people. Remember the end scene in the first episode of this season when Spike saw all the big bads from each season. Technically, Willow was the big bad of s6, but she is alive so The First appeared as Warren/Glory/Adam/The Mayor/Drusilla/The Master and then finally as Buffy (who was dead for a few months between s5 and s6). When Spike was living in the school basement we saw him speak to The First/Buffy and then real Buffy showed up. We just thought he was crazy at that point.

After Buffy's speech at the end, my favorite scene of this episode was at the beginning watching Nick Brendon acting as if he were sweeping the floor. It's as if he learned everything about using a broom from watching Mickey Mouse in 'The Sorceror's Apprentice'. The Turok-Han is played by the actor Camden Toy. He played in two previous episodes, first as one of the Gentlemen in 'Hush' and as Gnarl, the skin eating demon in "Same Time, Same Place' early in this season.

Thank you, Ashley 💜 it is a pretty lonely/solo kind of job but I probably have myself to blame a lot with that too as I just do too much. I don't know how to stop ☹️ I am annoyed to see that channel is still there 🤣 it happened a while ago on Facebook too but with gaming videos. I had to report it SO MANY TIMES and it never got removed. I think that person just eventually got bored. Grrr argh!

Juliette Gaming

HAHA they were a bit tragic, innit! You think Giles could have taught them 🤣

Juliette Gaming

Buffy, that was a beautiful speech you gave, but please get some sleep first!

Lime Pie

You're definitely not alone Juliette. We're all here and if you ever feel like chatting it would be my pleasure.

Neil Hanson

Oh noooo, not the introduction of the atrocious 'English' accents!!! We're here for you Jules. You're not alone! <3

Maia Brodsky

im sorry you feel alone often. im glad you asked for help. hopefully all the sudden reports will get something done. i reported a bunch of videos and the channel itself so hopefully that will help. i don't get why people do these things.
