Doctor Who 5x9 Cold Blood - Early access CLEAN

There's mostly one word I can use to describe my feelings after this episode.

Disappointment.

I am disappointed by the ending (THAT happened...) and also the conflict between the humans and the homoreptilians. I had hoped for a different outcome to what actually happened. Because of the way events unfolded, I am not surprised at the outcome, it's just.... I had hoped for something happier. Like I said in the outro, I understand why Ambrose did what she did, she was scared and worried about her family and people can do unpredictable things when under duress. I get it. I just can't help but think would things be different if she'd kept her cool? Or would it still have ended the way it did?

But, yes... It has mostly just made me feel sad πŸ˜” It was a GREAT episode, I really did enjoy it! It's just.... SAD 😭

Rory is such an amazing person and so good with Amy πŸ₯Ή. Such an epic companion. Poor Amy.

Shame on you Juliette. DOCTOR WHO is 'just a show,' you say. Pfui. DW is just a show the same way DON'T FEAR THE REAPER is just a song. :-)

Hey Juliette love watching your personality is so nice

I wish that I was confident enough to wear celery just because the mood struck me.

From a writing perspective, it was clever to have Ambrose in some way lose everything. She's lost her husband, these strangers say they'll find him, but then the stranger lets the son wander off, only for her to lose the son (I don't mean "lose" in the death sense, but to her it's an unknown). She's barely hanging on, but she has her father, the voice of reason in her life, only to discover that he's been poisoned by them. She snaps. We don't agree with her decision, because we know what's going on behind the scenes but she was set up to be at breaking point.

An alright episode, but Ambrose is hated to much, she was in the right for what she did. The Silurians are in the wrong, they already planned to kill people (the dad was supposed to die first) They basically false flag the human race into war, not to mention Dr. Siluran vivisecting humans alive in pain. I don't get how we are ever supposed to be sympathetic to them when they act like literally terrorists towards people who have no clue what is going on then act like those people are the badguys for protecting themselves.

Exactly

The scene with Vincent and Bill Nighy's character is brilliant.

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed πŸ’œ It does feel quite dark at times, but I admit I do like some heavy times! As long as it's not kicking us in the guts in every episode, I'm okay with that πŸ˜… (looking at YOU, Buffy!!)

Juliette Gaming

I've just watched that episode!! It's SO good!

Juliette Gaming

You, sir, are a genius. I adore that explanation! Thank you! It's like Rory is a missing part of an equation.

Juliette Gaming

AHHHH! I didn't know that! They were so beautiful!

Juliette Gaming

I remembered seeing the 5th Doctor and his little celery in one of the minisodes πŸ₯° I just had to include a little picture in the video HEHE

This whole season is just one kick in the feels after another but the writing is so good you can't help carry on. The next one's really gonna get you. Great reaction as always Jules. Love and light.

The Rising Ape

Juliette put an image of the 5th doctor in the edit at the mentioning of celery. So I think she knows. πŸ˜‰

Juliette: Though Amy can't remember, so I guess she's not sad at least. Me: *Laughs in Vincent and the Doctor*

Just to clarify something you may not understand about the crack/the light. When it erases things, things that happened still happened in a way. Even without Rory having existed, Ambrose and her family were still involved in the events of the episodes and still ended up on the TARDIS at the end. Even though logically, without Rory, they wouldn't've. The simplest way to think about it is this: 1+2=3. Remove 2 and you don't just get 1, you get 1+?=3. No one knows what the ? is anymore, but it's still there. You just can't remember what it was. That's why the ring/ring box still exist. It didn't erase every single thing Rory ever did. It just basically erased his body and everyone's memory of him.

OverWims

The reason Alaya and Restac look so similar is because they're played by the same actress. They are basically meant to be twins.

OverWims

This isn't anything to do with the big sad twists of the episode, but: the Doctor asks for celery after his brush with decontamination. That's actually a reference to the 5th Doctor -- he wore celery on his lapel with the in-universe excuse that it's an anti-toxin for Timelords. :) The more you know!

Helen

I remembered at the start of S5 you wanted a certain character to join as a companion........ Well it sort of happened lol. What a season!!!!!!!
