A few things happened in here that I'm thinking we're going to have some consequences due to certain actions in this one... But, wow. What an episode!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I finished Strange Horticulture (I'd like to make a review video for that one soon!) and watched some more Sweet Tooth season 3. It was lovely to have some time off and I feel rested and ready for the week ahead ๐

2024-08-14 20:35:02 +0000 UTCAngel and Buffy were in different networks from now on, so actual crossovers (as in guest starring, not only referencing) were much more unlikely due to contractual stuff and network rivalries. But as you stated, both shows can stand on their own feet and the universe and timeline is still the same, so the writers could still reference both shows. It really would have been more then weird showing Willow at the end of Angel S2 bringing the bad news and then not mentioning the good news in Angel S3.

Ron was well known as a child actor and became a prolific movie director and producer. Also, we met Rance's wife/Ron's mother in an early Buffy episode, Teacher's Pet S1E4. Jean Speegle Howard was the retired biology teacher, Miss French, whom the She-mantis replaced as a substitute teacher.

She was Root in 'Person of Interest' (2012-2017), a semi-scifi show that lasted 5 full 20+ episode seasons. In one way it has a basic premise similar to Angel. Instead of the 'Powers That Be', there is an AI computer that sends our heros on missions to save people around New York City. Just a thought for when you get bored and are looking for something more to do. ๐ ๐

He's always good of course, but when he gets let off the acting leash a little, such as this episode or as Angelus, he always knocks it out the park. Hated seeing Fred so upset though. She's one of those characters that's just so sweet and adorable you never want to see anything even slightly bad happen to them (Tara and Kaylee also fit into this category). Thanks for another excellent reaction. Now hurry up and finish Sweet Tooth so I can talk about the ending with you!
