Buffy - 5x13 Blood Ties Reaction

I've just noticed the similar titles of this episode and the previous Angel episode, Blood Money. I wonder if there's any reason behind that? Nothing that I can think of, so far, but I like it!

Another excellent episode, much revealed, very exciting now!

Have a wonderful weekend, all πŸ’œ

Buffy - 5x13 Blood Ties Reaction

I am SO glad that finally Dawn knows, but it was just so sad the way she found out πŸ˜” I wish it were different, but I also have high hopes that everything will work out! I never thought I'd like or accept Dawn as much as I have, but it really DOES seem like she's been there forever, as Buffy's sister. How does this happen 🀣 Thank you, Neil πŸ’œ Enjoy your Sunday and be good!

Wait... 9 episodes?! It's going too quickly 😭😭 on my rewatch I'm just about up to the Jonathan Superstar episode! I'll be in season 5 again before I know it haha

Mmmmmm I did wonder. I'm sooo interested to find out their connection!

We have never seen Ben and Glory in the same room together. Glory has always interacted with Ben through her minions

All right, nine more episodes this season. You are right, BIG reveals in this episode (and still more questions posed). Take heart and know that all will be made clear. BtVS is known for its excellent dialog, so when we get that clumsy scene with Buffy and Joyce it grates on me all the more in an otherwise top notch episode. With no preface Buffy says 'She's not real, we're not her family.' It Is just so awkward and put in solely to get Dawn's reaction and even Joyce reacts negatively to it forcing Buffy to clarify her thoughts. I know, I nitpick way too much about these things.

So the cat, or in this case key, is out of the bag and now everybody knows the big secret. Everyone except Glory, thankfully. The scene where Dawn is standing there with the knife after having cut herself is so hard to watch. Her reason for doing it is understandable but it's awful to see her in that frame of mind and struggling with her very existence. Even though it'll probably take Dawn a while to fully come to terms with it, it was good to see her feeling at least a little better at the end of the episode after Buffy reassured her that she's family, and she's loved. Great reaction as ever Juliette. Have a lovely weekend.
