Doctor Who Time Crash Minisode

Thank you SO much to everyone for trying to help find a decent copy of this minisode! I really didn't think I'd be able to share or watch it with you all, and I am SO grateful that I did as it was actually emotional, beautiful, made me cry, and a pleasure to watch.

I think I've managed to upload a version to YT as well, but I've had to edit out the intro music. I'll wait and see how the video goes and if there's no claims in the meantime. This version was found by Colin, and it's just glorious. I've cut a bit from the start and end as it was just the same ending with Martha, and then the end was a little peek into the next episode. I don't want to tempt the copyright monster too heavily, so I've tried to mostly just include the parts that AREN'T widely available, and hopefully that will be fine 😸

I hope you all enjoy this because I really didn't think it would get shared here at all 💜

Edit: I wasn't feeling well when recording this the other day, so if I sound or look different, that's why! I think I had a cough lozenge as well at the time 🤣

How is it that I watched Doctor Who all the way through Capaldi and I never knew these minisodes existed? I remember the 5th Doctor from my youth, but I only watched Who occasionally. This was really touching. Happy to have caught it with you. Your reactions have as much emotion as the episodes. I will always be glad I started watching your Firefly reactions as it introduced me to your channels. Hope all is well with you.

John McCormack

Awww thank you! I appreciate that so much 💜

Peter Davison is David tennents father in law

Hi! I knew you'd like Kylie! Just like I did. It's a pity she couldn't stay as a companion, but unfortunately it was impossible (but you didn't have to kill her character). Of course they embellished her death but it still hurts me. I'm curious to see your reaction to the next episode, I hope you'll like it too, and I guarantee you'll be in for a lot of surprises. PS: I wish you a speedy and full recovery!

Mine, too. Still waiting to find someone who's Doctor was Colin Baker. though.

Martin Holt

Peter Davison followed Tom Baker, one the most beloved Doctors in the show's history. He was followed by Colin Baker, one of the most hated Doctors in the show's history. Don't know what that means. But yeah.

Martin Holt

Every Doctor Who fan has "their" Doctor. Mine was Tom Baker, the fourth.

Shoomer1988

Remember when the Doctor said he can't intrude on his timeline? The Doctor said what I said about breaking the rules? Yeah. He is always breaking this rule. Always! The Classic Doctor met himself constantly! Sometimes three, four, five regenerations at a time! Because wibbley wobbley,

Martin Holt

It sure is!

I think it's official: the YouTube algorithm is run by Cybermen.

I was three years old when I first watched it in 1965.

James Gorman

I hope that you will get the chance to watch Classic Doctor Who. I’m a fan of this beautiful and amazing show since 1965.

James Gorman

Here's an Idea that I had when you mentioned editing for YouTube. Peter Davidsons Doctor self edits his memory and puts a block on it untitl he meets himself in timecrash at which point the memory is unblocked hows that for you

Colin 3of5

I loved this so much, I hadn’t seen this one so thank you for this lol, I cried (again 🙄; imagine that 🤣) you can tell a lot of that excitement was real and he was a big fan to be fair 🥰 thanks for the vid!

Isac (Welsh_ML)

I'm so glad you got to see this one, too! It doesn't add anything to the story so it's not necessary, but it's SO worth watching. Beautifully emotional and adds those delightful extra layers that just make everything so much more special 💜

I'm really glad you were able to get a good copy of this minisode. I honestly feel this is one of my top favourites. The way he looked at the 5th Doctor. Just to be in his presence was probably amazing. I just overall loved this one lots. I actually didn't watch this minisode when I first watched Doctor who. It was only half way through the 12th doctor did I go back and finally watch this one. The reason was cause of these other guys I was watching react to Doctor who. Curious about it I looked it up. I wish I had seem it back then but I'm just glad to have seen it now. Years back I used to watch Doctor Who. I got till the 12th doctor but ended up stopping cause of other stuff I got into. Late last year I decided to rewatch all of Doctor Who again. It's such an awesome show to rewatch. I still love it as much as I did back then. And I'm excited to actually catch up and finish what's aired.

i can't wait to see your reaction to Kylie!

Hey Juliette, it's my first time commenting. Before I watch this I just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying your reactions to this beautiful show, I really think your reactions are the best and the most heartfelt out there, I mean this show's really emotional, with the actors, the writing and I can't help it, but I have to mention the music. To me Doctor Who's OST is just the best Soundtrack to a TV show, it almost feels like it's from a big iconic film or franchise. And all the music in Doctor Who from 2005 to 2017 was written by Murray Gold (the GOAT), and I'm sure you've noticed some of the themes like Martha's theme for exemple, SOO beautiful, and I swear, it's like every single theme he wrote is just iconic. The music in this show, to me is just as important as the writing or the acting, combine these 3 elements and you've got yourself the most beautiful and magical TV Show ever. But this is already too long and I can't wait to watch the reaction so again, thank you so much for what you're doing, these reactions can't come soon enough!

WyZer

There were actually a collection of minisodes made for season 2 that preceded each episode. They're not super plot important but still a fun watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S44i5Ygj_o

Since other people mentioned David marrying Peter's daughter, the funny thing is that she went to school with, and was really good friends with the daughter of the 6th Doctor, Colin Baker. As a child, she just assumed that everyone was the son or daughter of an actor who played the Doctor haha.

SeeJay

mmm That depends on how someone defines a persons first Doctor. Tom Baker (4) came before Peter (5), and I am guessing that David had watched a few of Toms episodes prior to Peter taking over the role in the final minutes of Logopolis Toms final story. David was 9 at the time, so he might not remember them all that well. So I'm going to guess that Peter is, his Doctor as Peter is the earliest Doctor he actually remembers. But that is just my opinion.

Colin 3of5

Well one of them, davids first doctor was Tom Baker.

Gary Poussard

Never saw any of the minisodes. So this is the 1st time seeing this 1. Glad to be able to share the experience with you. Thank you for posting it here. I remember some of the 5th and 6th Doctors episodes when it 1st aired here in the US. Guess Tennant and I were watching the show at same time. The station also had Dr. Who marathons, which included the original episodes from 63 all the way through to Doctor number 6.

I’m so glad you got to watch this. So much fun to see David paying tribute to Peter Davison. It reminds me a bit of when you got to meet Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 back in season 2. When they got to the second half they put so much feeling into the portrayals that it sweeps me back into it all over again each time I watch, and doubly so watching it new with you. Yes that was the original outfit, but they needed a new stick of celery. 😜

Paul Hess

Definitely!! He's awesome 😎 he's such a great actor ☺️

Hot Space 🇬🇧

I loved this SO much! I'm so grateful to have seen it. It's perfect 💜 David was definitely a huge fan of the Fifth Doctor to go on to marry his daughter 🤣

Juliette Gaming

One way of keeping it in the family 🤣 Man, that is just so amazing!!

Juliette Gaming

David Tennant is just phenomenal. I cannot praise him enough as the Doctor! He brings EVERYTHING to every episode!

Juliette Gaming

That is amazing... I'm so glad I got to see this!!

Juliette Gaming

Did he?! HA! He is a real Doctor Who fan for sure 🤣

Juliette Gaming

😭😭😭

Juliette Gaming

I definitely need to get myself the Classic DVDs!

Juliette Gaming

Peter Davison is absolutely one of the ones he watched growing up. Peter was MY doctor as a kid. David Tennant is 2 years older than me. After this it gets weird. After this was filmed he meets Peter Davisons daughter and they get married. Peter Davison is now his father in law.

Keef Baker

Peter Davison was the 5th actor to play the Doctor and his run was during the early 80’s. And yes, as you guessed, this was very much the era that David Tennant was watching as a child- he started watching at the end of the 4th Doctor era and watched the whole of the 5th Doctor era as a kid. He was very much not acting when he said the ‘you were my Doctor’ line. I remember Peter Davison was the first classic Doctor I ever watched (I found one of his stories on DVD in a supermarket somewhere between series 2 and 3 as a kid) and even at the time it struck me how similar the two versions of the character were. Fun fact: since this minisode was filmed David Tennant has married Peter Davison’s daughter and had several kids with her, so the Doctor is now the Doctor’s father-in-law!

Jessica Patton

Peter Davison was one of David's Doctor when he was growing up and I always get emotional watching this although I haven't watched Classic Who either. Also, fun fact Peter Davison is also now David Tennant's father in law. 😊 Great Reaction! 😀

Hot Space 🇬🇧

David Tennant loves Peter Davison so much, he married his daughter!

Boone Bluemel

Time Crash is one of my favourite minisode. In answer to your question David Tennant watched the latter part of both the Tom Baker and throughout the Peter Davison Eras. Peter Davison is David Tennant’s Father In Law. That was the 5th Doctor’s original costume along with the celery.

James Gorman

Yes Peter Davidson (5th) is David's Doctor

Colin 3of5

Glad we get to see enjoy this. I think you should watch at least a story or two from each Doctor.
