I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I don't have a lot of plans myself, though I am expecting to build some IKEA furniture on Saturday or Sunday, so that will be fun and involve a lot of frustration. Fingers crossed 🤣
It's been a busy week, but I'm feeling good. I've been getting through Black Mesa and just started recording Halo 3 for when Watch Dogs finishes. I definitely want to do different things on the gaming channel this year, pursue lots of different aspects of gaming other than just let's play videos. I guess I am also thinking of my future on YouTube as I want to keep going for as long as I can! Thank you all for going on this journey with me 🥰

2024-02-04 04:13:36 +0000 UTCI'm not a big Riley fan. Much of my reasoning behind it is yet to come, but I feel like my dislike for him really starts during this episode. You can just see the insecurities seeping out of him, and he acts like a man child. When he finds out that sex with Buffy is what caused Angel to lose his soul, Riley gets upset. As if Buffy was simply not allowed to have any boyfriends or sexual partners prior to being with him. Get over it. Riley even thought that Buffy cheated on him when she went to L.A. More insecurity. Then we get to see him and Angel fighting, which is pretty hilarious. They were both acting a bit immature in that moment, but I'm still on team Angel. He wasn't exactly wrong when he stated that Riley started it. Also, Riley has now decked two of Buffy's previous partners. First, Parker (rightfully so, though), and then Angel. Now we just need Scott Hope to show up so he can lay it on him too. lol Seriously though, I think Riley could have been a much better character, but I just dislike how the writers make him act at times. I know you so desperately want Spike to be on the side of good and a part of the Scooby gang, but despite the chip, he's still a soulless being with a lack of morals. He can't physically harm humans, so you see in this episode how he resorts to other measures. Even though we don't like to see the gang at odds with each other, I thought Spike's plan was pretty hilarious and fun to watch. Plus, we got a drunk Giles out of it. I absolutely love drunk Giles! "Bloody hell!" hahaha.

I'd love to do more things like that, or gaming analysis video essays... something more creative than a let's play, but with a gaming focus. It just makes me excited to think and plan these different videos! I think I just need to be braver and publish them 🤭

At that very moment they were discussing her lack of candor about her relationship with Angel. It bugs me that the writers put that in. It makes Buffy seem to be emotionally manipulative, not unlike Spike.

2024-02-02 23:10:12 +0000 UTCThis episode, with a little prodding from Spike, does a great job in highlighting how the Scoobies have been drifting apart this season. With the end of highschool there is no glue to bind them together on a daily basis and then you mix in Buffy/Riley and Willow/Tara relationships and Giles/Xander off campus and things change. Which is kinda what happens to normal people when they leave school for college. The closing arguement was well played out with everyone focusing on their own insecurities that were created by Spike. Willow's 'Besides, when is there any "us two"? You two are the two who are the two. I'm the other one.', Tara and Anya escaping to the bathroon and Giles's 'Bloody hell' added a bit of levity to situation. And yes, Miss Kitty Fantastico is adorable!

We get Spike being all devious and causing the Scoobies to fall out (and yet I still find myself liking him), more of Giles's lovely singing, and then of course Angel and Riley squaring off. Best moment has to go to Giles and his exclamation of "Bloody Hell!" upon learning of Willow & Tara's relationship 😂 You scared me for a second there Juliette. I read "I guess I am also thinking of my future on YouTube" and thought “Noooooo. Is Juliette nearing the end of her YouTube journey?" Don't do that again please! 😂 Thanks for another excellent reaction Juliette. Have a fun weekend trying to decipher IKEA furniture instructions!

My favorite overall season happens to be yet to come, but I always have a fondness in my heart for Season 4 - it is the season that I started watching Buffy and I really think it has some outstanding episodes. Love to see you enjoying it so much. :-) P.S. Riley-Angel fight: the thing we didn’t know we wanted until it happened?
