Added 2024-01-29 21:00:03 +0000 UTCOooohhhh.... you know when Buffy comes to LA, we are in for a treat! Another wonderful episode, difficult to watch in places.... With an incredible conclusion. Definitely not what I thought might happen, but I think it's probably the best thing.
I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone for being here. We are almost at the end of season 4 of Buffy and season 1 of Angel, and there's about another 1.5-2 years left to go on our journey. I've enjoyed Buffy AND Angel more than I ever imagined... it's come to mean so much to me and I am so glad I started the reaction channel as otherwise, maybe I'd never have watched it, never have known these beautiful characters and their lives 💜

Kevin, I totally understand! I feel like we are in the minority by not liking Faith as most people in the comments seem to love her. I never liked her on Buffy, and it's only NOW, seeing her on Angel, that I am more interested/invested in her character. I would like to see happiness for her, to see her change, but she will never be a favourite of mine! I'm curious to see what I'll think of her when I rewatch season 3, which I should be up to next week!

2024-02-05 01:48:16 +0000 UTCI'm one of those weirdos who have always hated Faith (although she is of course a very entertaining character) and I don't think she deserves a second (or rather third, fourth, fifth ...?) chance. It has always been a bit of a mystery to me why so many BtVS fans defend her so much. She has always been a terrible person imo, even before she joined the Mayor. In her very first appearance on Buffy, she was hitting on Buffy's love interest (Scott), made Cordelia jealous by clearly trying to turn Xander on, made very hurtful remarks regarding the Buffy/Angel situation, and even took food from Buffy's plate (obviously her worst crime). I get it, she wears cool clothes and Eliza Dushku is amazing, but that doesn't make Faith any less evil. Just my opinion though, and sorry for my rambling, lol.

2024-01-30 12:34:47 +0000 UTCNot the easiest watch, but I wouldn't want a story about redemption to be any other way. I hate to side against Buffy, but I have to in this instance. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand where Buffy is coming from. She tried to give Faith a chance, but as Buffy said in this episode, Faith metaphorically spat on her. It's hard to forgive Faith's actions in the first place, but that makes it even harder. I just can't support Buffy intentionally trying to hurt Angel with her words only because she disagrees with him. This isn't out of character or anything (she did the same thing when Angel broke up with her before the prom), but that doesn't make it right. As much as Buffy annoys me this episode, I still love her of course. In fact, I love her even more. I don't want to watch characters that I always agree with because then I would just be watching myself, and no one wants to watch me.
