I'm not sure if this is not really thew done thing (I'm guessing not...) but I've started to re-watch Buffy again from the beginning. It's been AMAZING seeing them all so young and me having a newfound appreciation for some characters, like Cordelia. It's so different watching it all again and I love it! It's incredible to see the huge difference between the first season and this season. They did such an amazing job!!
I loved this conclusion to this two-part episode. Really great moments in this one, and Buffy and Faith are just a sight to behold. I never knew I'd end up liking Faith as much as I do now after this episode... Huh.... I guess miracles do happen ๐คฃ
I hope you have a lovely weekend ๐

I think that stunned look Buffy had at the end when she switched back, was because Faith was feeling intense "Self Hate emotions" and Buffy felt a residual trace of it.

SAME!! I never liked Faith! It seemed like everyone in the comments loved her and I was the odd one out. But I love where her character is going and I cannot wait to see more of her now!

Faith has been let down, betrayed, or ignored by almost everyone in her life. The Mayor showed her actual affection and caring so no wonder she was responsive and loyal to him. In season 3 everyone else let her sit in that dingy motel. How do you think she was paying for that room and her food and other needs. Most likely it was crime and/or prostitution. We already know from the episode Bad Girls she won't hesitate to steal and her interactions with men leads me to believe prostitution was another means to an end for her. Her reaction to Riley saying I love you makes perfect sense if she sees sex as a transactional thing instead of a way of showing love and connection. Also the way she expects men to treat her sexually shows she is used to a darker side of sex. I hated Faith at first myself but her character arc just gets more interesting. Can't wait to see her again.
