As for Torchwood, it is okay but not necessary. It does not add to Doctor Who so it has no spoilers. Theoretically, you could watch the simultaneously without referencing the other.

It's kind of like the little sprig of parsley on your plate at a fancy restaurant - it's not necessary, but it adds to the ambience, Plus, it's fun to throw in other people's faces. Look, there's a reason I'm banned from fancy restaurants.

I didn't watch Torchwood until my girlfriend and I were binge-watching the DVD's of Who Series 1 thru 4, then we did Torchwood. Torchwood has little things to link up but not necessary if you continue you with Who first.

I recently got round to watching / reacting to Torchwood and even though I’ve been a whovian for years, I actually enjoyed watching it after spending years with DW! I enjoyed seeing how it linked up with what I previously watched and seeing how it all connected after the fact. You definitely do not have to watch Torchwood to enjoy the story of Who. Don’t be worried or upset about watching it whenever you have time, both stories are great on their own and only link up in small ways here and there🩷

2023-11-22 22:23:34 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. This episode is such a crazy ride. All the way through it's trying to work out who is the big bad. Is it torchwood? Is it the ghosts? What does the sphere have to do with anything? Then at the end it's Cybermen, but not just Cybermen it's the Daleks too! My take on the Doctor being arrested is that by taking his Tardis, they know he won't run off anywhere, so no handcuffs needed lol.

2023-11-22 21:57:20 +0000 UTCI've not seen the next episode yet but I'm thinking that the Cybermen and Daleks will end up fighting each other, thus giving the Doctor the opportunity to do his thing and save the day. It was nice to see Mickey again, and looking very sure of himself as well, but what happened to Jake? Hopefully I'll find out in the next episode.
