Doctor Who 1x04 Aliens of London | Full Reaction

*This is a re-upload because I stupidly botched the intro at the beginning. Talk about EMBARRASSING MOMENTS. Anyone got a time machine??*

Be careful... these guys aren't as cute as they look. They really, really aren't.

A fantastic episode! I loved the use of aliens who kinda look like the classic style aliens that people imagine. Big eyes, green bodies. Except these fellas aren't very friendly, sadly!

Some memorable moments in this one. I really loved it ๐Ÿ’œ

This is now our regular Doctor Who schedule day for Patreon, one week ahead of the youtube channel ๐Ÿ˜ธ

There are many reasons why the Doctor has difficulty flying his TARDIS. The most basic reason is that, well, the central control pillar has six stations, which means that a TARDIS typically has six crew members. The Doctor, however, is flying it all on his own.

This absolutely does my head in! I'm SO worried if something gets messed up... It would be easy to do something wrong if you're in the past... and you may not even know you've done something. One thing could change EVERYTHING ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Expanding Time Travel in DW: there are two general tropes found in time-travel stories: Grandfather Paradox and Bootstrap Paradox. Grandfather Paradox is the classic 'if you kill your own grandfather, you can't be born.' Think BACK TO THE FUTURE. Bootstrap Paradox (far more common) is the 'kill your grandfather, then become your grandfather.' Which trope is found in DW? Yes.

That makes sense! I did wonder if even if they left quickly, would them being there still be written in Rose's mum's history and memories! So much to try and wrap my head around ๐Ÿ˜–

If you ever do, make sure to keep those scraps for a "outtakes from x months of messing up my intro" video or something. :)

Time Travel is a lot like Faster-than-Light travel - because it is physically impossible, the writer is free to make any rules they want, and as long as those rules are followed, everything is good. One of the main rules of DW time travel is that once the TARDIS has appeared in a moment in time, those events are set in stone; going back to that time is... problematic.

If I've ever needed a time machine, it's now ๐Ÿฅฒ leaving something in that shouldn't be there is one of my worst fears haha. Have a lovely day, Rhi ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜ธ

I'm just so thankful I didn't do anything weird between takes ๐Ÿคฃ

Juliette Gaming

Nothing to see here ๐Ÿคฃ

Juliette Gaming

Ah right, I get ya.

A double intro take. I thought it was a nice glimpse into the making of. :)

Patrick Armbruster

Oh, I hadn't gotten around to watching yet. What'd I miss?

Daryl

I noticed the intro but didn't think anything of it. Morning Jules! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Oh, was there something wrong with the intro? I never noticed anything!
